Geez, Doug Crossman, couldn't stand that guy.

Really like the way Hexy has been restocking the prospects cupboard, looking forward to seeing what he does at the draft and during the offseason.

Let's hope Hextall can add some speed speed speed. Can't stand the Pens but their speed has been impressive.

Agreed, they need to get faster, more skilled and a bit bigger, especially up front.

Bill,

In your opinion, who amongst those goalies would you rank 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in terms of overall potential? To me, it seems like Stolarz and Sandstrom may have the two highest upsides, but that's based purely on gut and minimal information.

I have no problem signing White to be a 12/13 forward, but if it's going to cost more than 1 million per year or be a longer deal than 2 years....no thanks.

Only if he'll come at a minimal raise. He's not a bad 12/13 forward, but they need to limit his minutes and remove him from the PK.

I am curious to see what happens in the A with Lyons and Stolarz. Could Lyons move ahead with a strong camp and season?

His most useful place is on the second PP unit. He leaves a lot to be desired elsewhere though and I completely agree it would be ideal to take him off the PK

I could see 1.25-1.5 mil per year for 2 years

Sending out a 3rd/4th line with two sluggish skaters on the wings should not be on the table for the Flyers after these playoffs. Hopefully the coach and GM have noticed that the game has moved on.

If the draft follows these rankings, which it almost certainly won't, the Flyers could pick from Bellows, McLeod, Jones, Tufte and Gauthier at 18.

So its reported now that players with expiring contracts following the 16-17 season that are nmc will not have to be protected since their contracts will be expiring. One more year of umby on the books it would seem most likely. Why add dead cap space the following year if not needed.

Yeah, I guess, though I really hate spending more than 1 million for 4th line forwards or 6/7 Dmen.

If true, that would change a few things. Make a few things easier.

As it is, can each team can only lose one player per expansion team? (I'm not sure if there will be one or two)

I don't think McLeod will fall that far but I'd be thrilled with him at 18. I also really like Kunin and I'd be happy with Bellows or Jones as well. Tufte would be ok. Gauthier scares me a little, his drop off in play over the 2nd half is very concerning.

Who knows, when it comes to the NHL. It wouldn't shock me to see the rules of the expansion draft change at least 10 more times between now and next June.

As it sounds one team will be coming into the league after next season. So just one player per team. If its two teams its two players available from each team

Not that I don't like Cousins, but I'd really like to see the Flyers add a veteran center, who can play on the PK, and take key defensive zone draws. Some offense would be nice. Hopefully improve the PK, and take some wear and tear off of Giroux.

I agree, but I don't think that's what the Flyers will do. A buyout is not awful.

OK, that is what I would expect as well. And I would guess not every team loses a player since there are less roster spots than teams.
