That's a great deal for Ward IMO at 3.3 per.

He had a rough go of it there for a few years but had rebounded nicely the past 2 seasons with sub par defense in front of him to post 2.40 and 2.41 gga the past two seasons.

I think the deal to jump from 8 to 4 then to 3 would cost too much to do, but if he can work his magic and make it do able, I am all in. That star winger is needed here.

Also think we need a D man (or two) but trades / FA is the way with that.

Since we have confidence that Stamkos is interested and Vesey has us as #1 choice, TM might need to make some trades to "get rid" of some forwards and furthur the chances of those events (where the player sees a clear opening for themesleves in our lineup). The question is does he take that chance (and move them now) or hold onto players and "give them away" in August when we need to move them?

Not so sure about that. Bogosian is a 2nd pairing right shot big defenceman that's just what Edmonton wanted. If they want Barrie or Trouba etc it will cost more than Eberle.
