Eklund: Calgary Other Options for Goal. Flyers Aggressive. Stamkos. Buzz@1 - Eklund
*On Stamkos... I keep hearing a "surprise team with Cup potential" is getting into the talks...that would require another MAJOR deal to happen since most if the top team are tapped out with regards to the Cap. The only Cup contender that isn't would be Nashville.
your a rumor site, name the freaking team and get some much needed cred back |

There are numerous teams interested in a 26-year old elite sniper becoming a UFA very shortly? I'm not buying it. |

Stamkos is a one-dimensional 40 goal score we don't need him |

If I'm the Flyers- I can't see moving Sandheim for Yakupov or Eberle when the obvious top 6 hole is on the LEFT side, and I can't see the Oilers taking something like Hagg for either anyway. Start talking Taylor Hall, then maybe Sandheim and a cap relief move like Read, THEN I'm interested in talking. |

I might move Sanheim for Jordan Eberle, not Yaks. |

Having a team in Las Vegas is just a bad idea in every sense.
Serious question, so if you're a player in the NHL, are you allowed to go to a sports book in a casino and bet on your team? Its legal to bet on sports in Las Vegas.... - kindlyrick
Most leagues have anti gambling rules... see Pete Rose. |

STARS have space.
I could see Jim Nill quietly swooping in, ignoring goal tending and defensive flaws in their system in favor of scoring ALL the goals. |

If its Hall they're going after it'd take much more than Samheim, maybe him and Simmonds gets the conversation started, but they're looking for high end defense, and we don't have much of that to offer, Provorov could fit the bill, but I can't see them putting him on the table, and I would be extremely pissed if they did. |

The Flyers are being very aggressive I am told, especially when talking to other teams around the NHL
As opposed to being very aggressive towards themselves? |

Is this a serious statement?? Hall for sanheim and cap relief?? You do realize that trades need to usually make sense for both teams right? Sanheim wouldn't even begin to start a conversation for hall and then you thinking philly throwing in a bad contract is gonna help?? BTW yakupov is a left shot and plays lw or rw. He is good when paired with a good centre, Edmonton just doesn't seem to do that consistently for some stupid reason. |

Finally - Ek mentions Howard when discussing goalies being moved! I was wondering why his name has not been brought up with how badly (and publicly) Holland wants to move him.
Does everyone view Howard as that much of a worse option than MAF, Allen, or the recently moved Andersen? I guess I would be a little shocked if that was the impression everyone has on Jimmy in comparison to those others. |

So you are saying Ivan Provolov and Shayne Gostisbehere are on the trade block for a top six (what other defensive prospects with top 6 value do they have). Sounds like another JVR deal in the works |

I still believe that trade happened. How was Homer the only person to not see L. Schenn's inability to play? |

5.2 AAV aint terrible for a goalie one year removed from being an all-star. If it was up to me, I would prefer they keep howard to be honest. |
