For a guy who's spot on the team is challenged by young players, Desharnais has showed nothign to solidify his presence on the team.

Can't wait until he's gone.

Good for McCarron stepping up after a very "plain" game last time he was out there.

Hudon also did better than last time. Will get called up at some point this sure imo.

Oh and Lekhonen will start the year on line #2 with Plekanec and Radulov, book it!

Cheers Jen! Good blog!

Thanks for the blog Jen. Great as always.

What happened to Barberio? How's he been looking btw?

I'd be happy with either Carr or Lehkonen on the 2nd line, but for the love of !@#$ keep Shaw on the 3rd... ugh...

He left the game yesterday with what seems to be an injury.

And imo, he's been outplayed by several players in camp including Redmond and Pateryn (who's having a very, very good camp)

Condon let in all 4 goals, but lets be real, both Hoffman goals would have went through Price either way. Nonetheless, he is struggling.

Thanks Scabeh.... I guess there goes my crazy bold prediction that Barberio will end up on the top pair eventually I really liked his game last season.

Good to hear Redmond and Pateryn are stepping up.

Timmins said that one impressive part of Sergachev's offensive game is that he has a large selection of shots and knows when to use which. His play on Gallagher's goal is the perfect example of that.

It sure will be interesting to see what they'll do with him. While he could benefit from an other year in Windsor with all the tournments, if he's ready, he's ready!
Then there's the question where to play him. Do they trade Beaulieu? Emelin?
Pretty much the only question not yet answered at camp, the rest (forwards and goalies) seems locked in.

For a bag of (frank)ing pucks for all I care, and try and use the saved cap to acquire a top 6 forward. If Bergevin can leverage his recent play at the world cup into something more that s a bonus.

If Sergachev can actually act as the insurance policy for Markov this year as even an ok top 4 D they're one piece from contending. Trading Beaulieu might get a better piece up front, but then they re back to where they started on the back end.

Don't think I would do that. Ideally they offload Emelin to a D hungry team like Dallas for a pick, and make another deal giving picks and a prospect to try and get someone like JVR.

oh sure, but in today's NHL, pretty difficult to trade 8M in salary (2 years at 4M) without taking anything back.

Yeah fair enough, but he did get pretty insane value for Larry .
