This team is terrible and I'm beginning to believe that Byslma is NOT the guy that can get the best out of these guys. There is talent there but they can't score. They havent been able to score and I don't expect them to score anytime in the immediate future.
That said.. I'm out of town. Anyone have a link or links for the game ???

Wow, 30 years for the reporter, Oklobzja, and they lay him off. Couldn't they at least given him the option to retire? That reeks of being classless. |

not many teams could lose two of top six, one of whom being their best offensive threat and their starting goalie a win games... think of the oil without mcpointmachine and lucic and talbot, they would never win ever!!
thought the thread could use some sunshine |

Prediction - Sabres 4 - 3 over the Panthers
Reinhart, Moulson, ROR, Kuli
I have to have hope in this team. There are no other options for me. |

Prettyyyy sure Malkin and Fluery missed quite a bit of time last year.
Doesn't mean we should win the cup, but we shouldn't be unable to compete either |

Him figuring things out and Larsson continuing to be effective tells me 28 is done here. |

I think you're right, it's just a shame what his value is right now. |

I havent looked at the underlying numbers but even watching hes not doing anything wrong in my view its just those two guys have stepped up. Maybe like Ennis he just needs a change of scenery or something but he's gotta play catch up with those two guys right now if he wants to stick around.
Edit: That turnover at the blueline doesnt really help my point though |

Well Larsson beat me to this post but I still stand by my statment...
Man this team is boring! I looked expecting to see us last for goals for and until Larsson's goal a few seconds ago we we're tied for last with Washington surprisingly.. Now we're tied for second last with Vancouver and New Jersey.
If Bylsma had any cajones he'd shake up this roster to give it a better chance to score goals I don't care anymore about Rochester's development. Let's start with the easy calls. Grant unfortunately just isn't bringing it with us. I know he's on the 4th line with a rookie future 3rd line checker and a 4th line borderline AHL grinder but he's not capitalizing. Send him and Fasching down.
Call up Schneider who has been on an absolute tear! And Bailey to try and get some speed in the lineup and hope Bailey can catch on. I'd also call up Rodriguez and put him at center on the 4th line. He'd be a great energy guy and I'd put Deslauries in the press box. I'd also break up Byslama's love affair line of Foligno Larsson Gionta. Gionta is one of the most boring players on the planet at this stage of his career and I know it's maybe an unpopular statement but I truly believe the team won't grow until he's gone. This is what I'd make the lines until Eichel and Kane come back
Moulson O'Riley Okposo
Schneider Girgensons Reinhart
Ennis Larsson Bailey
Foligno Rodriguez Gionta
Desluaries

I dont necessarily disagree, but Id keep Fasching around. Does a lot of the little things well, points will come eventually as he learns the game.

Agreed. I think Larsson has proven to be the better fit on the team for the shutdown center role. The guy is a pest without being dirty, and he's getting better. We also have a lot of guys in the pipe, albeit a few years away, who can fill the 3c-4c role. Asplund, Hurley, Esteban, Cornel, PU, you got to figure at least one will make the team in next 2-3 years. Still, just wish Girgs would up his value if Murray ever pulls the trigger on moving him. |
