Decent game. Mason was solid. |

More important than the Flyers, Marchessault scores his 8th goal of the season with 13 seconds left in the 3rd to send the FLA-NYI game to OT, where the Panthers win. |

Mason just had a very open and successful game. Now professional protesters, incited by 2Real, are protesting. Very unfair! |

Sucks that Neuvirth got dinged up, as he played pretty well after that weird first goal. Mason was very solid in relief and outstanding after the Flyers took the lead. It would be fantastic if they can get rolling.
MDZ had an up and down night. Hopefully it's rust, but he's been getting caught flat footed and out of position the last couple games. The team defense as a whole was not great tonight. The Flyers outshot the Wild, but they gave up way too many high danger chances. But the goaltending tonight was very good to outstanding and they got the win. |

Raffl and Schenn were really skating well
It seemed like the Wild were just chipping pucks in front of the net and then havoc would break out, I kind of felt like they would score nearly every time the puck was bouncing around in a dangerous spot
Mase was huge tonight, hopefully he can build on this one |

I'm guessing Del Zotto's struggles are a combo of rust and trying too hard. He'll be fine. |

Amazing how everything changes when the goalie makes a couple of big saves. |

Didn't see past the first 5 minutes, but Gudas made 3 consecutive poor plays on that goal. I've been pulling for him, but he's been a bit of a let down to me so far. |

I still believe the bottom 6 will look different before the time
end of the season. It looks like leier and Laughton are doing well. Interesting in the box scores, they have Laughton listed as a center. I would assume when they sent him down, they would put him at a spot with the idea of him playing that position if/when he makes it back to the NHL. |

Nice to see a goalie come up with a big save to seal the win.
I still can't believe this team has only been leading once after the 1st period 16 games into the season. Can the coaching staff not get this team prepared, or is it the players who just are not focussed. |

Especially in a contract year, doing everything he can to stay.
He's done a great job transitioning his game in the defensive zone, in a way I'd like to see him get a chance to pinch more.

Was there an explanation of why 2nd Wild goal was allowed? Wild feed clearly showed man in zone when carried in. Wild announcers were baffled that goal allowed to stand. |

Ghost and mdz were our worst defensive pairing tonight. I didn't see ghost for the better part the final 6 minutes. Manning and gudas were hasktol main stay (how could you scratch him for Schultz after 1 bad game ?) . I'd like to see Manning back with ghost and mdz with gudas to try and get them both going. They are struggling defensively. Provorov was quietly amazing. Made good plays. Played well in corners. I actually thought him and Streit had some real chemistry on clears as far as knowing where the other would be.

Even though the puck was in the zone, Koivu hadn't touched it yet while Stewart was still in. By the time Koivu did touch it, Stewart's skates had touched the blue line. I think it was somewhere along those lines. I'm sure someone here could explain it better.

Bill Meltzer: Wrap: Flyers Grind out 3-2 Win vs. Wild - bmeltzer
"We are down a goal, they pulled their goalie. Chris Vandevelde, you're incredible at everything, I'm looking at you to keep us in it. We have Read, we have Raffl, we even have Giroux but you are better than all of them" - Dave Hakstol
That Raffl speech said it all at the end of the game with Bundy. I wouldn't be surprised that he was named the number one star as a wake up call to the coach. Disgraceful that Raffl and Manning were scratched Friday. |

Because it was on sides..
The puck can be in the zone while another player is touching up as long the other player doesnt touch the puck prior to the zone being cleared. |

Might be time to sit Ghost for a game or two. I was very encouraged by Provorov. Solid game for him. |

I think Ghost brings too much from a PP and offensive perspective to sit him. I mean go figure a young dman in hopefully what would be his first full year is struggling.. |
