At the time, I had no idea that girls could play hockey. In my world women’s hockey did not exist simply because there did not appear to be any. If a girl wanted to skate she was put into figure skating, something that I had zero interest in doing. Not that there is anything wrong with figure skating, it just was not for me.

Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to comment and express their support.
For Habs fans have no worries as I will be blogging just as regularly as always on Les Glorieux! Except for today that is as I was unable to watch last night's loss. I'll be back with updates tomorrow.

And Waterboy, you've always been supportive of my Habs blogs which I thank you for. I'll take it that you meant that women's hockey is awesome like the Canadiens. Because I will monitor these threads closely and we have got to do our part to change the discourse...

Great! I was actually at the last Inferno Game. Was an exciting finish with a fantastic overtime goal to win it for the Inferno. Great on-ice product, can't wait to see their next game live, and it will be nice to read a blog about it too.
