I don't mind the name. Half the team's name means something geographical, but I guess who cares...
No penguins in Pittsburgh, no Panthers in Miami, No Kings in LA, etc..

As far as the logo, I think it's a fail..

Yes, It's nice to have something simple to be able to draw as a kid (I imagine EK still draws logos on his notebook while podcasting), however, it would have been nice for someone to research what a knight was and what their helmets looked like...

It's like the research went as far as typing "knights helmet" in google image search. Saw this on the first page

And said.. OMG, IT HAS A "V" FOR VEGAS....

then failed to see it was a fantasy drawing and has nothing to do with knights....

Eklund, the ceremony yesterday where they revealed the name was awful. So awkward and confusing. The name stinks. if you wanna talk about other team names than do a separate blog on them. Right now we're focusing on the "Vegas Golden Knights." They're not even the Las Vegas Golden Knights! It's pretty cheesy and lame.

What if the Kings were called the Angeles Kings. Or the Rangers called the York Blie Rangers.

You seem oddly obsessed with the historical accuracy of the helmet logo.

Never been a fan of a team in Vegas. There is a reason why no other pro sport went there.....The NHL is getting desperate with this move.

i mean the sabres had a logo of a buffalo slug hybrid.

The whole video thing was a debacle. I like the fact that they dropped Las from the name. Rolls off the tongue easier me thinks. I don't think there is a team in the NHL with 4 words. 3 word teams are easier to say

I'm disappointed in the logo. To me, it's more Roman looking and has sort of a Magneto vibe to it.

I like the Vegas star and swords (which I think will be the shoulder patch) more.

For the main logo, I was hoping for more of a closed face/cage knight look. Thought they had a lot to play with in terms of utilizing a knights helmet and taking influence from some of the classic goalie masks of the 70's, etc.

I felt terrible for Bill Foley yesterday. Seems like a good dude. Enthusiastic about hockey/Vegas and the crew running the show yesterday blew it. Brutal.

The dude accidentally blowing the name by giving away "Knights" in it was cringe-worthy.
