Fist!

Ruttager knows what to do.

Does Boeser get a look towards the end of this season?

If Virtanen can get his crap together by next year, we can have a good looking top six after the Sedin's are done.

There should be no rush to get Boeser into the lineup, maybe our management feels differently if we have a chance to grab a wild card spot but if we miss the playoffs, I'd rather go for the best pick possible.

Not that unfortunate. Canucks will need to spend some time rebuilding over the next few years. He sure seems to be a potential impact player.

Yeah, I was thinking more like giving the kid a chance to enjoy some NHL time. If the Canucks are in the playoff hunt, it may not be a great idea to throw him into that right away.

You would have to think that they try and sign him right away after his schooling is done though.

It is unfortunate as its a heavy dose of reality that a college kid would be an every day roster player on this team had he chosen to play in the NHL instead of go back to school.

ahh, I understand the signing part, but does signing and playing a handful of games or whatever burn a contract year? or he won't reach the games played threshold?

I would guess quite a few organizations have some kids in the system who are already better than some players on the NHL team.

Nope. Not a chance.

I mean, until the team moves to Quebec City and he's forced out of office for not speaking French.

I think there is a threshold. I can't remember how many games Nylander got last year, but I think it was 12 or so, and I don't think it burned a year towards UFA eligibility, but I am not real sure of all those rules.

For us middle-aged folks this was a great rivalry during the 70's & 80's with them and Montreal.

I think I saw a post on fb that Kirk Douglas just turned 100, so hoping middle aged is considered to be less than 50?
