he already is eligible, no games are required for him

I understand the left side is light on talent,however I would have preferred the Avs picked up Ty Rattie on waivers instead. Just seems like more upside with Rattie and he would have slotted in nicely once Iginlia is moved at the deadline.

They are the same guy, honestly it doesnt matter. At least nieto is the better skater out of the 2 and has had 10g 10g 8g seasons already.

Rattie has only 4 career goals.

I followed Rattie's development pretty close and felt the Blues really never gave him a real opportunity to succeed at the NHL level. I realize he won't be a difference maker for the Avs but thought he would be a decent depth move.

dont disagree, just dont see that much a different b/w Rattie and Nieto to be honest.
Rattie being a natural right winger would have been nice but at the same time, I dont think they claimed a noticeable worse player
