It's a weird game. Canucks shoulda been up 2-0 and won in reg. But Flames carried the play. It's been Miller a lot this year. Apparently he is in tonight now. Doesn't usually play back to back. But Canucks are in desperation mode. Marky was shaky last game. I guess the bye week is upon us.

Love the scrum with Tree. 2 seconds later it's five Canucks in the scrum vs 3 Flames... Is this your new thing?! 2 on 1's becoming the norm with you guys yeesh...

You should of won in regulation based on goals maybe, but we pretty much dominated play for most of the game, just couldn't buy a bucket until the muffin in the dying seconds.

The Flames play 16 games in 31 days (!) in March thanks to this years (frank)ed up schedule. Gonna be one hell of a slog coming down the home stretch for us. We need some grade A goaltending ourselves if we hope to have any chance at a playoff birth...

I don't have a problem with that either. Just like last year when JB refused to take a sh1tty offer for hamhuis and held onto him, so that it doesn't set a bad precedent.

Idk if JB had much choice tbh. I'd rather have a GM who sticks to his guns & not be seen as an easy mark. Doing so makes other GM's talk turkey & not use JB as a bargaining tool. Dallas did themselvs no favours getting Russell over Hamhuis last year for their PO run. They let Russell walk as a UFA & signed Hamhuis anyways although he has been scratched at times. This says they preferred Hammer over Russell & maybe should've been more serious. The bad precedent would be JB takes any offer to simply make a deal & would get roasted in the media & especially here.

The fact Miller is better than Elliot is one reason we r so resilient.
Idc why ppl want to tank when Miller is obviously still a true starter in this league.

Ppl not acknowledging this team has heart even though challenged talent wise is lost on so many fans. For me its a very good sign of the teams character & not the BS some claim that its a country club.

Elliot in a 1 2 punch in goal would help but a journeymen goalie he is.
Some teams simply cannot find a true #1 eg Dallas otherwise your Flames would be prolly a better team.

Marky has size over Miller & thats where it ends.
Destined to be a backup only.
If he cannot earn more starts over an aged Miller he will never be in our future plans when the post Sedin era begins.
