I have to say, even though they gave up 3 goals to start the game they simply didn't convert on a couple of chances that would have easily changed the game. The most vivid one being the 3-on-1 off the turnover in the Colorado zone when ROR shot it off the goalie's shaft and crossbar. Also, the save on Bailey off the rebound. Their goalie made some saves for them and Lehner looked more like he did at the start of the season (not saying the goals were solely his fault)... He was often times watching from his knees and when he is at his best he is quick to get back on his skates.
The one thing worth noting, IMO, was that Girgensons played a great game. He was doing things that I nearly forgot he was capable of doing... Disco Dan should have gotten Z more ice time last night. I also thought Ennis looked much better, as well. Risto needed to play more aggressively. He appeared to be thinking "pass" too often, while he is usually ready to shoot at any given moment when at his best. Kane had his worst game in quite some time... He just seemed disengaged most of the night. |

Eichel was awful last night? Did you bother staying up to watch the game? He could have had 5-7 assists. Kane, Kulikov were awful and the O'Reilly lane was MIA. Eichel had jump all game long |
