no problem with the hit. He should not be suspended or fined. I think he even let up to a certain degree. Need to keep your head up |

Yeah I love how everything in sports is reviewed now, but you can kick a guy out of a game for something you THINK happened. As soon as they saw the stretcher they felt obligated to do something, and phoenix ended up getting a 3 minute powerplay because of it, along with the bruins having to play with 5 dmen the rest of the game |

you make good points, reactionary calls are ridiculous. Maybe these type calls should be reviewable too. I think it is Bill Belicheck who is trying to make any call in the NFL reviewable (ie penalty, fumble, kick, etc). Last I heard more teams are coming on board with this idea. I am starting to believe anything should be reviewable and you get one call with one bonus challenge if you get it right.

Didn't look like a predatory hit. Miller could have completely run him over at full speed and didn't. Looks like more whiplash than anything. |

The worst part was the refs determined it was a charging major, didn't see many strides leading up to the contact. |

that call was a classic call because of the result, not the play.
Side note... Habs got Ott ???

Strange game. The crowd was quiet and everything seemed like it was in slow motion. It felt like a preseason game. Maybe this is due to AZ trapping and/or it being the Bruins first game back from a road trip. Oh well... 2 points.
So when does Marchand's name start getting mentioned in Hart Trophy conversations?
Yep... I just went there (' ') |

His reputation far exceeds his play in the eyes of people outside of boston, he will never get that type of publicity around the league, to get the nod over guys like mcdavid and crosby. |

Sucked that it was a match penalty based on the outcome, but we ended up with the W so can't complain there. Unsure of how much more textbook that hit could be. Elbows in, shoulder down, crouched, no charging or lunging motion, didn't leave skates. Should not even be in talks for a suspension. Skating through the neutral zone while reaching for a pass behind you is a terrible position to be in, and I'm glad Burmistrov is ok. |

Hopefully Burmistrov will be alright. The ejection was overkill. I agree with Ty, that pass from Chychrun was brutal. |

Miller hit was fine... unfortunate to see the injury, but you can't make a called based on a reaction to the outcome. If there's no penalty on the play, there should be no call... just a straight up bush league move by the refs. Should be like basketball where flagrant fouls are reviewable.
In other bush league refereeing news... MTL was handed the game last night in OT. Weak call for a "hold" on Jones, with 2 minutes left in OT! Do the refs get handjobs on their way into the Bell Centre or what? |
