Thanks Carol!
I have an inkling that JB has a surprise deal up his sleeve, I think ownership has probably seen the fan's excitement over these prospects and given him the green light to blow it up |

EK says Miller won't be traded today... you know what that means! |

I don't think we see any more trades by Benning unless it's trading AHL/ECHL players for others. The roster is super thin as it is already and it's my understanding that both the Aces and Comets are hurting with next to nothing left to call up between them without being forced to sign players to PTOs and/or ask for loans from other teams.
Carol, since you're there, what are you hearing? And are you there by the war room, I'm curious. |

Apparently the Oilers are having trouble grabbing RW depth because of bonus overage concerns. Wouldn't surprise me if they took the rest of Ference's contract for like a 4th or 5th round pick. |

I like the teams new direction, I agree that we should put a priority on drafting, developing and acquiring more European's as we move forward with our new commitment to a rebuild. |

Who's left to blow up?!? Maybe asset management on some fringe players if there are takers. Sbisa odd ball on value. You know NTC vets are hard to move at TDL. Burr was exception on getting new contract and only an hour away from parents. Vets with families it's not easy to do. |

He's sticking with the plan. Adding young players every season. One year closer to the Sedins and two more NHL projected youngsters added...like last season, two added with trades and the Stetcher signing in between these trades...
Patience. We will be over the old guard hump finally in a year or less... |

Yeah, that's about what I'd think he'd do. With the E-draft coming he'd be loathe to part with another roster player unless it's a D-man and a deal that he can't refuse. Any other deal he makes will be to stuff the organization with enough players to field 3 teams without being forced to use their call ups and decimate Utica and Aces while they try and make the Calder Cup playoffs and whatever Cup the ECHL has. |

You need to stop waiting for someone to pull the carpet from under your feet.
Like DCT said earlier whether they make the Canucks or not we are hearing in the right direction |

If he can pick up an AHL center and then get Stecher, Goldobin and Boeser onto that team. Maybe even convince Tryamkin to go down, then the Comets are in a pretty decent spot and it might kick some life into JV. |

Miller is all that's left, really. And it doesn't seem as if any of his 5 teams are on board with him. (Which is weird because if Anaheim expects to do anything they need insurance for Gibson and Bernier is trash)
The way that Montreal has been adding useless 4th liners it makes me wonder if they'd like a useless 3rd pairing defenceman like Sbisa. |

What I really liked was right at the end of his press conference last night he said something to the effect of "I've been patient with these old core players for a long time but now it's time to start looking forward and build up the next group of guys" |

Sbisa. Like Hansen, I don't think Benning wants to lose him in the expansion draft.
