I thought the Kane goal especially is a good example of how annoying the passive PK is. What makes it more frustrating is how quickly teams attack Giroux and Voracek any time they have the puck. Kane was an example...Kuznetsov in washington comes to mind.

Mason clearly couldn't see anything on that one, but i thought his angle was brutal...

However, during the third period, the Penguins side somewhat went against the spirit of the event by opting to double-shift 30-year-old Tyler Kennedy (who played in the NHL last season) and 37-year-old Ryan Malone (who played in the NHL as recently as 2014-15) while the Flyers continued to give their Alumni of every age group their turns on the ice. Ultimately, the Penguins side rallied to leave the Wells Fargo Center with a tie, largely due to what amounted to ringers on their side.

That whole thing cracked me up, but I wouldn't expect any less from a franchise that still has the Little Brother thing going on so consistently.

Ryan Malone was practically born and raised with that chip on his shoulder, what being born in Pittsburgh and watching his father's Penguins teams get the holy poop kicked out of them by the Flyers on a regular basis.

The last time the Flyers notched six even-strength goals in a game was March 5, 2016 in a 6-0 home win over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

He was certainly more towards the center. Clearly was trying to see around the guy in front, but sometimes you just have to make an assumption. Even Mason on his angle without eyes probably gets sniped there

I'm too lazy to do it, but I wouldn't mind seeing the stats on how long its been since 6 ES goals were scored by every NHL team

Game Observations:

- Liked Weals game. I know he doesn't seem like a top 6 or top line guy but to me he is reminding me of Conor Sheary. Maybe he's not but he seems to be fitting and looks comfortable in the top 6 right now.

- Good to see Giroux score.

- Couturier line played well. For all the talk of Couturier only being a 3rd line center, recently no mater who he is playing with they seem to be a consistent line.

- Gudas with a huge game.

- Nice to see Konecny score and getting his legs back. With things moving along right now, not sure I move him yet. If they do I wouldn't mind it be on Couturier line with Read. Cousins has played well but I think Cousins can play with the 4th line too and still be a pest. I think Konecny needs to be in the top 9 to get the most of his skills.

- Mason wasn't at fault for goals but he did seem off. Little sloppy with rebounds and puck control but nothing super bad. Just looked a little off.

VDV and PEB have mastered the art of looking like they're doing something while doing nothing on the PK. Slightest bit of zone time and they collapse around the slot, sticks often not in lanes, reacting instead of reading. Other units go out and it's night and mid-day.

Since jmatchett has stood me up for the second time

Has anyone been to the hockey hall of fame recently? About how long does it take to visit and I am assuming it is recommended?

Depends on how much you get caught looking around trophies for names and at stuff like old goalie masks.

It can be done probably in 3 but I kept finding myself puled into looking at things like the international area and team histories.

Hak may NEVER change the fourth line now. They figured out how to score. Get the puck to TK, set VDV in front, nice pass from TK to MDZ for a shot, have VDV stick his butt out for a sweet deflection. OR.. Get puck to TK, have him drive to the O zone, bail for a line change, send the kid in one on three, pump fake and snipe a GUDAS GOAL! 😆 SOOOOO..... just give the kid the puck, let him tote the dead weight around and hope they don't get in his way.

I think Hak should start Neuvirth on Thursday. Mason seems to start to get mentally fatigued after 4 or 5 starts and needs a break. Hak has a tendency to run the "hot" goalie in to the ground and way past the point where he is "hot".

4.1 millions dollars. Looking to be extended for over 5mil a year and the mental midget can't play four straight games.
