Carol Schram: Markus Granlund shut down for wrist surgery as Canucks head east to Chicago
The Vancouver Canucks are heading out for a four-game sojourn through the Central Division without their hottest scorer, after announcing on Monday that Markus Granlund is being shut down for the season to undergo wrist surgery. - Carol Schram
One of the few guys who was actually scoring is finally out of the way.
I hope they keep Sutter in the lineup with his injury. |

Seeing Biega on the 4th line RW and Cramarossa as an 4th pairing D in practice makes my head hurt... |

You rule as usual Carol!
Would like to see Goldy/Boucher With Bo/Sven.... would be nice to see what another natural RW does for the chemistry on that line ( Hansen was good with those 2).
The subtle/classy tank... liking JB's plan lately, I must admit. |

Still wondering why Crammarossa was a fan favorite in Anaheim. Even Megaman has outplayed him. |

Been told they don't know how long the rehab is for Granlund and that this injury has been bothering him for several years. #Canucks
Interesting. I hope they can fix him up, and it's not a recurring injury. Makes the season he had more impressive. |

I disagree, I think he's been okay on the 4th. Wasn't he just picked up to fill roster spots cause we traded Hansen/Burrows? I just figure he's a placeholder till the summer. |

I don't see Megna back next year. I can see Cramaross in Utica. |

He was more of a wrecking ball in Anaheim. Team mentality makes a big difference for some guys. |

That is pretty impressive ...I was going to say most guys that have wrist surgery tend to have poor seasons following but if he has been dealing with it for a while then maybe he will come back even better

Can't stand Megna. I still don't see exactly what he brings to the team. He doesn't really create scoring chances for himself or others, isn't physical, isn't really a good defensive player. He and Larsen better be gone. Unless they want Megna back as an AHL vet. |
