I thought Morin did a helluva job.
This game got built into a bit of a grudge match with the idea of fighting and Morin just played hockey. That impressed me more than his fighting prowess could have.

If anyone was wondering what happened to Mononoke...well, I'm ashamed to admit that I forgot the password to that account |

Thought Morin played well and I look forward to seeing him in the lineup next season.
Vecchione understandably played sparingly, but I thought he looked good too.
Provy was a beast and Ghost had a strong game. Konecny was ok, but I think at this point in the season he's just worn down which is to be expected for a kid in his first season and also just goes to show how amazing Provorov really is.
Mason played great. With Hart and/or Sandstrom at least 2, and more likely 3 years away, I'd be fine with re-signing him to a 3 year deal.

konecny was a mess I think he's worn down too. But he was either swimming all over the place or flattened on the wall like a fly |

I am not understanding why fans were so peaved that Konecny got benched after his dumb penalty. It's a meaningless game and he can be rehabilitated. That said, mediocre to down right poor players get way too much playing time IMO. That has to change next year. |

I'm fine with Bellemare in a 4th line role next year and being used on PK. I just don't want to see him taking the faceoff on the pk right off the bat so much as he loses some 60% of them. Bellemare does a lot of little things well out there. The key is not to be playing 3 or 4 bellemares which is what happened this year |

We need a healthy Weal by Saturday. I don't want PEB above the 3rd line. |

I liked vecchione for a couple of reasons in his limited play. Face offs- thank God someone other than g can win em. Positioning- he was always in the right place on plays and while it looked elementary he got the puck back supported the team d and possession went the other way. Creative- on a couple plays he made strong passes into areas I didn't expect where vdv flubved the puck. Get him a little bit of an upgrade there and the offensive upside seemed to be there as a playmaker.
Konecny had a bad game. He got constantly taken off pucks and could of been called for multiple careless penalties that appeared to be in frustration. He has to find a way to maintain possession Devils were pushing him off the puck like a fly.
Morin had ups and downs I look forward to seeing him feel more comfortable Saturday and Sunday and with a home crowd. I'm hoping to pencil in him and hagg for opening night roster. |

I was hoping for some fireworks last night. Boring game.
Morin skated better than he did earlier in the year. I only watched a few Phantoms games but he seemed really slow. Last night he skated at an NHL level. |

Does he play for the Flyers or the Phantoms Saturday is my question.
I also loved Sam speaking at to the speed difference. |

I think it really depends on if Gudas and/or Manning are healthy enough to play. |

I love that they paired Morin with Gost. And what he said about fighting and him being coached to stay on the ice as more important than fighting. |

I would hope so. I was a bit miffed at some who were saying bring him up to fight. |

I would have been fine if he fought because it was warranted. I didn't want him starting the fight.
I saw what Jersey was doing and just wanted to be prepared if they started anything. |

I'd let him play even if they are ready to go. MDZ and Schultz aren't going to be back, they can sit. Plus if Gudas even has a trace of concussion symptoms, it would make sense to just shut him down for the rest of the season. |

Exactly.
Plus, I didn't see a whole lot of Devil players stepping up to challenge him either.

He said he had a few challenge him. But he declined. |
