I've been seeing a lot of people picking the Oilers in this series (makes sense considering the Sharks injuries right now)...

Wondering how some of the long time fans think this Oilers team stacks up against the defending Western Conference Champs?

My God! This is so exciting... We Oiler fans deserve this - after 11 years as bottom of bottom feeders... Wish I could afford to spot a kidney to go to tonights game! Anyone here on the buzz going?

This is the series I am most excited for. I just wish I wasn't in the North East!

I for one think that if Jumbo and the rat lace up by G2, I see SJ winning the series by game 6.

Burns is going to rip up Edmonton's anus. I said it here first. SJ has the better defense imo (if you ALSO factor in defensive inputs from the forwards hence why I think Edm can win the series If and Only If the rat and jumbo are out for the entire series) and I still go with my theory that the first 3 rounds - the better defence wins games and in the final - the better goaliie wins the championship.

If and Only if the rat and jumbo arnt' back by G2 and even then, I still say it would take Edm 7 games to get it done.

Both contribute heavily to the two way style of possesion play the sharks lean towards. Both are also the team's best two way players. Without them, their defensive to neutral zone transition game relies heavily on burns, vlasic, and pav.

If they return by G2 - they win by G6.
If they don't - Oilers in 7.
If only one returns - ???????

I'm really excited to see how Eberle does now that he's finally in the playoffs. Will we see clutch Eberle like in World Juniors?

No matter what happens, let's never forget the fact that Al Bundy once scored 4 touchdowns in one game!

Offense -- Oilers (especially with Thornton and Couture not being 100%)
Defense -- Sharks (although Lord Larsson may decide to take matters into his own hands and win the series by himself... It depends on which lesson he has in store for us. Lord Larsson is here to teach all immeasurably important lessons)
Goaltending -- Pretty even
Power Play -- Oilers
Penalty Killing -- Even
Experience -- Sharks

Could go either way.
