6 – Buffalo Sabres (7.6%)
Why They Deserve To Win The Lottery: Because Buffalo is why.
Why They Shouldn’t Win It: Because no one wants to have to learn the names of a new coaching and managerial staff every three years, in perpetuity.

good morning, sunshine - Michael Pachla
I heard a lot of people talking trash on philly fans this week, which made me reflect on a few things buffalo fans have done
1. throw a dildo on the field, probably our defensive player of that game
2. doing a line of coke on a $20 bill
3. banging skanks in parking lot tailgating
4.. not only having a blackout for the comeback game vs the oilers, but also bailing on the team. I was there and trust me, maybe 30,000 people were there at best
5. using stub hub to get leaf fans to pay for half of their season tickets and making buffalo the leafs home away from home
more to come

Said this before. It's not just the Leafs. The building is always chock full of Montreal, Pittsburgh, Detroit, and Chicago fans as well. New England and Pittsburgh fans overwhelm the Bills stadium as well. It's always going to happen with Buffalo ticket prices being so low compared to most markets.

Take a page out of the bills playbook (yes i really just said that) and trade down. |

he's a numbers guy...if I red TBN correctly, when LaFontaine was pres, they wanted a three-pronged front office with Lafontaine being up-top as the face, murray doing the scouting/personnel work and jakubowski being the cap-guy |

sort of.
as i understand it the value in rounds is much different in the nfl. we already have 2 second rounders. assuming you trade back and get a third one you could use that to trade back into the first round for another selection. Worst case scenario you wind up with three 2nd rounders which is pretty good.

Trading back is just as risky as trading up. You still have to pick the right guys with the pick or picks you obtain. When the Bills traded up for Watkins, everyone gave Cleveland credit for the haul they pulled in. Now, 3 years later, the Browns have nothing to show for it.
If they draft a bust with the KC pick, or use it to move up and select the wrong quarterback, which we all know is a great possibility with this team, what good is it really other than making the fans feel good at the time? |

There isnt all that much of a gap between the talent at 6 and the talent somewhere in middle first round, i firmly believe that. For example, theres nothing Makar or Liljegren have done this year that would make me think they are so much better than say Brannstrom or Foote and thats just working off the assumption we go D. |

was just channeling sully and being a bit snarky...not at you...
but toyour point, murray tried trading back into the first round in 2014 with three second-rounders and couldn't do it... |

drafting in general is risky unless its top 3, 10 times more risk in a draft where theres virtually no consensus outside the top 2.
in any scenario you have to hope the guys in charge know what they are doing. My preference to trade down is because the gap in talent isnt nearly enough to say its not worth adding another pick somewhere around say 45.
In fact you could make a strong case that some of the guys ranked around 15 are perhaps better options than the ones ranked at 6 or 7 |

channeling my inner Fitz, drafting 3 times in that 2nd round could have done a lot for us too.
Its a risk but again if the guys in charge know what theyre doing it could payoff. |
