Checking in before the non-sense starts..........
- Trade Rienhart for Noah Hanifin
- Lehner offer is fine, if not taking - go in another direction (grab Beriner)
Jonathan Bernier: His .915 save percentage last season was better than those of Ryan Miller, Steve Mason, Brian Elliott and a slew of other UFA goalies. After a year of playing second fiddle in Anaheim, his price tag is unlikely to be prohibitive, making Bernier an excellent option as a platoon goalie.
- Give Nylander/Baptise a shot (see Leafs)
- Vanes or Neal
Thomas Vanek: His defensive play isn't what he's known for, but Vanek can clearly still put up points and play in a sheltered scoring role. His great release makes him a potential power-play specialist. |

I would like Hanifin here, I read Ek's blog on Weal also |

Its a tragedy that Fedune had his leg shattered. In Edmonton he was easily looking like an incredible player until that.
Even after he looks very good but just never seems to be given much opportunity. Is that how it is in Buffalo as well? Plays solid but always in and out of the line-up? |

He's a fringe NHL defenseman that can help on the 2nd PP. Given limited minutes he's actually pretty handy. |

This team needs an identity
Foligno, Ennis, Girgens, Larsson
we have seen this play many times, and know the outcome
how many games has ennis, girgens or foligno won as a sabre due to them taking a few shifts over?
at least larsson nets gwg's, but he is really too slow to lean on him for anything above 12 minutes a night
not sure what the bigger problem is
kane, okposo and reinhart on the top 6
or these scrubs on the bottom 6
and you can keep deslauriers
twice

yup...pretty much...last year he was waiver eligible and it was probably the only reason he was sent down...wanted to see them re-sign him...glad they did |

Schopp was talking about how Franson has been the best metrics player on his team all 8 years he has been in the league. I thought Bulldog's head was going to explode. |

the mass rags on kane and reinhart
okposo is no different
not a difference maker on the top line
22 even strength points in 65 games
if he is the best option, at rw
eichel needs to be his center not ror |

I remember a Schoop quote from a few years back.

Tylar mayars. Bad corsi, bad game.
I think even Matt Collar argued against that point. |
