I'm serious about his market value, yea of course if he'll sign for 3x3 then you do it, but he's worth more then that on the open market.
He'll get around 4m for 3 years. The price will come down as he gets more years but with his age he'll want to get some money in his bank.

I think some team will offer him 4x4 or 5 yr x4.5 GMs are crazy like that. I would only offer him 3x3 max . It would be based on his love of this city and organization. If he wanted more then no.

I'd think Hansen would resign at a hometown discount with promises of a job in the organization after he retires. I'd offer Burrows a job after he retires as well. Both r character role models that would fit like a glove.

SJ has a pretty good organization and the players love playing there. I could also see him being extended right there @ 4x4 . They love paying big money for old timers.

Vantel, why is calling out your hypocrisy about not letting old players go now considered 'KinderBuzz'? You stated you would like to see Hansen back as a Canuck both today and yesterday, I would call that advocating.

His career began here & he was a great player & value & leader.
Add him & Burr to TG Johnson & Baumer for tons of character for a long long time. TL for PR & JB the bust his ass rink rat/scout & voila.

Having a 5 minute thought on a subject is not advocating. The subject has grown since my two posts originally made.

Linden 16 and I were debating about bringing back the Sedins which I am strongly opposed to and I mention a better and cheaper choice of mentoring would be Hansen , Now I am said to be advocating and Hypocritical because I don't want old slow Canucks like Hamhuis Burrows Higgins and the Sedins back.


He said the young guys are not ready to be top line players and I offered him my opinion. It should have ended there instead of this snowballing.
