Much prefer that. Don't get me wrong I've picked up close to 150 jersey cards over the past few years. But that's mainly because I paid a few bucks a card and was able to sell probably a dozen to off set my total spend.
That's the rub: I don't think it's necessarily to get the piece of cloth. I think it's dropping a few hundred on the chance of making hundreds more than you spent (in a fair amount of cases). Although I suppose that at the end of the day, whoever the final owner is spent that cash for that piece of cloth! Either way, it's on a level I cannot relate to. Love collecting, but can't see the circumstance where I could drop so much on a single pack of cards. To each their own I guess...
