Carol and I aren't talking right now. I find her clear lack of faith in the skills of the Subban very disturbing. |

Thanks Carol!
Though not much can be deciphered from the lineup, I am looking to see who Biega/Wiercioch/Pedan/etc. are paired with and how they do. For the inevitable defense injury, Green should be looking for chemistry on replacement partners similarly to how Stecher came out of camp as the Edler partner when Tanev went down early |

Ryan Biech's updated depth chart after recent cuts:
Looks as if he agrees with Carol's assessment on Rodin possibly getting the last spot |

The same GM who's overpaid on over half of his significant contract negotiations needs more time to be judged for when he has more cap space to work with?
You see the irony here, right?
It's like me saying Gillis needed more drafts to be judged on his draft picks. |

Thanks Carol I disagree about Chatfield. I think he should prove himself in the AHL first. He can battle Mceney and Pedan for the first call up. He has looked good but it's against AHL talent and there is no rush. |

Many had Rodin sticking but as an extra. So now that JV has also played himself into the picture, does he stay too?
If so, the above means tough decision on keeping DD and only one D as extra.
Want to add, surprised Makita had Burmistrov off roster. Maybe others share this view too and feedback of why would add to the conversation. Though on my part I'd start off to say he's shown enough of what he was brought in for with his versatility. |

I guess depends on how many forwards they carry. When Gaunce comes back from injury, it'll make things more interesting
I havent seen enough of Burmistrov to make a call about him. But Carol's piece for Westender had him 100% there and Biech seems to have him in solid position to be in the lineup as well |

Yes. I'd add Gaunce likely will be assigned to Utica for conditioning stint.
At the end of that, if there are no injuries with Canucks, his performance with Comets will determine if he comes up while another is waived. Though if JV is up but hasn't shown enough consistency, by that time, he would be the first candidate sent down.
Whatever way you slice it there sure are a lot more options this season. |

I'm with WhiteLie, I haven't seen enough of Burmistrov to have him as a 3rd line centre over Sutter or even Gagner who is listed as a LW in the chart and a centre on NHL .com.
Hey Whitey, the chart is attributed to Jeremy Davis Canucks Army not Biech?? |

Idk if the Sutter or LE contracts will be as much a drag on our cap as ppl believe.
$10m+ is liveable if a decent return that is & LE gets a mulligan for last year from me. It was not a season of significance. |

LE is making 6 million a year, and will 37 when his contract is done (This is almost Sedin-like in terms of contract)
Sutter will be 32 when his contract at 4.245 a year is done.
LE contract is really inexcusable.
Sutter's contract isn't straining on our cap, its more so that he has been passed over depth wise by 2 centers and playing Sutter in a 3rd or 4th line center roll at that cap hit is dumb |
