So I'm a little concerned that Beaulieu is on the top pairing, is this just because Scandella is still coming back from injury and they want to bring him along slowly with limited minutes?

Defense should be better when healthy, but this is not an elite team. Not enough truly elite talent. Especially with Toronto coming up as they have, not sure this is playoff team.

Perhaps, Beaulieu had a pretty good pre season too. I suppose hes earned some spotlight time. Also french canadian getting time against the montreal team that gave up on him? RDS is probably having a field day.

I actually feel far more negative but I didn't want to poop an anyone's parade. IMO Jack and Risto are the only worthwhile players we have today. I'd scrap the rest of em and tank. I think we have nice prospects coming up, but that's not today.

Interesting. Dunno that they need to tank (though i love me some Dahlin) just may take beyond this year and a few moves. I think JB is up to it though

No idea where they finish this season, imo they could be as good as a playoof team, and maybe as bad as bottom 10 in the league.

We have a lot of question with a lot of positives, Lehner will be key early in the season, to keep this team in games while they adjust to the new system.

What I do know is that I am much m,ore excited for the season then I was last year.

Everyone has an opinion, but really? ROR, KO, Kane, Rhino, Nylander, none of these guys are worth keeping?

No idea where they finish this season, imo they could be as good as a playoof team, and maybe as bad as bottom 10 in the league.

This is a really good take but you considered a scenario where this team isnt 06-07 good which is a C- and grounds for a rejected gordon ramsay caricature.

KO, ROR, Badgosian and Eichel named assistants

yeah i know the points werent there 5v5 last year but Im sold on ROR for that role long term.

FYI before the troll train starts.

Zads is a healthy scratch today bc he is not in game shape yet missing part of camp and the team skates prior to it

tonight will be my first look at the Sabres as I missed the preseason games, I cant wait to see this team play tonight.
