Best part about the goal is that he snowed the Flames logo on Smith! |

Jagr on McDavid: “I wouldn’t be surprised if he scored 100 goals. It’s possible.”

I think Pavel Bure may have been faster, but McDavid is ridiculously fast. |

Makes Brodie, Hamonic and Tkachuk all look like pylons. That should frighten the actual pylons of the league. |

That second goal is just disgusting. I've seen Sid downshift and then use his burst through D, but nothing like that. Literally taking off from that deep in the D zone and just outracing everyone. Don't recall a player ever doing it in a straight line.....hence, without having to make moves to beat a D that cut off the angle. |

Has to be the fastest player ever. I could not believe how many times he just blew by everyone. I know first game but I can't see anyone getting close to him for the Art Ross this year. |

Ummmmmmmm.......... No.
Not Bure. Not Gartner. Not Orr. The league has never seen this type of speed and acceleration. |

Bure was crazy fast for his time, there is no doubt, but McDavid's speed is something else. |

Different equipment and technology. Bure may have had the ability to skate as fast as McDavid, but definitely wasn't able to move faster at the time. The skates are so much better now. |

Can't wait to see him out against Edler and Gudbranson on Saturday night.

I'm sure the Canucks will slow him down Saturday night.
But really though... he should have 10 goals after his first 2 games.

If Tanev contains him to just 1 goal, Benning shouldn't settle for anything less than a 1st + top prospect + young 1st liner for him |

Bure was very unique. His skating stride was unorthodox, using both edges in his strides, rolling from his outside edge to his inside.
If it ain't McDavid, it has to be Bure. |

The speed is one thing. But when combined with puck-handling and finishing ability - yikes.

Bure could protect the puck in close quarters really well too. McDavid does the same. You always see McDavid using his lead leg to shield off defenders sticks when he drives the net. |
