Habs never do well out West, MTL media is gonna go nuts and be in a frenzy by the time the team gets back.

This could get ugly very very fast... I just hope it does not lead to the likely inevitable terrible trade.

What could MTL trade? You worried about picks? Or young players?

Most veteran goalies suck to start the year, Price will be himself by game 10.

If the Leafs wouldn't have 2 swedish league rookies and a small kid with only 123 NHL games over 5 NHL seasons, making up half of their defense, that game wouldn't have gone to OT.

Montreal will have problems in overcoming teams with steady/veteran NHL caliber dmen.

Might pick off teams like Toronto with weaker D cores, but even those will be 50/50 if you lack scoring power and Price does not stand on his head.

I liked the way Mete played. He was on Nylander like a fly on a cow's ass. Not a big guy but speedy, with good stick work. Hopefully he sticks at the NHL level.

Lots of D-core turnover in the off season will create problems short term until they get used to each other.

Wouldn't expect it to be a big issue in 10-20 games though, as teams gel with their new additions.

Very much doubt any trade will happen before the 20 game mark, and that goes for the entire league, unless Vegas unloads someone else to make some room.

Watching last night's game was like the opposite of so many Leafs vs. Habs game I have seen. So many times I have seen the Leafs outplay and outshoot Montreal down the stretch only to have Price keep the door shut until the Habs capitalize on their one chance and walk away with the W.

Not sure we deserved it, but we'll take it.

and the Blue Jackets went 16-0
and the Oilers went all the way to the second round
and the Penguins won their 2nd cup in as many years
and none of it matters

New season, new teammates, new coaches, new referee calls, etc

Only posted that because you claimed most are crap at the start of the season. Which is news to me, obviously.

Poor guy. Didn't even get 10 games to prove himself. Nobody will ever want to play in MTL again. Ever. Only Drouin
