Exciting times, the team looks great, and will only continue to get better, with Zajac,Mcleod,Boyle,Blandisi and Quennville still in the cupboards If the current roster can keep it up we are all a sudden looking like a deep young team with cap space, Ray has done a great job. |

Hope Cory is okay haven’t seen any call up as of yet so maybe they held him out last night as a precaution and he’ll be good to back up tonight don’t want to lose Cory when the team is on a roll |

And he's not even playing tonight. Report was we walked out of the arena last night fine. I'm guessing it was something minor and they swapped in Kinkaid as a precaution/to get the team going for the third. |

Hopefully a cramp or something. There was nothing noticeably off about him through two yesterday, unless being a bit off your game is an injury. |

Today's NHL; call a sh!t load of penalties each game to create more scoring opportunities to generate more scoring league wide. 67 total power play opps in the seven Devils games so far this year, that seems quite high. |

They better leave it all on the table with that in mind. Hall eluded to wanting to leave the coaches happy after this game, and gave a smirk. I guess they get an extra day off practice or something if tonight goes well.
Coleman has been ok, but I'm ready for Boyle. Coleman is no rocket out there either so the whatever drop in speed shouldn't be an issue. Boyle will hopefully be a little better at faceoffs, and he has that size and experience. Give Coleman the minutes in the A.
With Zajac back, it seems more and more likely that Zacha will be moving to wing. Hall-Nico has to stay a thing. Zajac has had success with Palmieri and never tried Jo, so maybe that'll be a nice 2nd line. Zacha isn't doing much out there. Maybe it's because he's worried about covering himself defensively? Maybe shifting to wing will help. He looked good in camp, but he's been disappointing so far. |

I've been pleasantly surprised by most of the fringe forwards (Wood, Gibbons, Noesen, Coleman) but I definitely agree getting Zajac and Boyle in there will be a big boost, especially on the defensive side of things.
I agree Zacha has been one of the bigger disappointments so far, but he has had flashes. Hit two posts last night, had a couple great shifts vs Tampa, two goals vs Toronto, but that's been mixed in with a lot of sloppy play and dumb penalties.
I'd say the biggest disappointments have been Mueller, Zacha, and Severson. Mueller has just been bad after having a promising preseason. Zacha and Severson have been unsteady and haven't yet shown that next step a lot of us were hoping for. Johansson has been up and down, I was actively thinking about how I've been a bit disappointed in him last night right before he scored the tying goal.

Bingo! That's a deep cupboard. Lots of possibilities and Shero isn't afraid to make trades. |

Ya Zacha hasn't quite excelled so far in his new lead role, but at least the guy is flexible and can be moved back to the wing if need be. His faceoffs were great last night. Mueller looked great pre-season and hopefully he can find his form and we can quit alternating prout/lovejoy in the 6th D slot. Moore played a solid game last night. And Severson is going to be great again, no doubt about that. But yikes did Blandisi look bad when slow bobby ryan burned him on the outside. Thats a concern. |

Pete DeBoer in his third year so we should definitely have a shot.
Wouldn't it be nice if Will Butcher didn't have to play next to Prout or Mueller? Or Lovejoy for that matter. |

I don't even want to watch now. Prout I don't care about but how does Santini deserve to sit? |
