I read a book called GOOD COACHING 101, "tweak the lineups after you finally get the performance you wanted, but only for part of a game" was NOT in there.

I went to a seminar called GOOD COACHING FOR DUMMIES. Some guy in the audience asked a question at the end of the keynote address and said he wondered whether it was a good idea to "tweak the lineups after you finally get the performance you wanted, but only for part of a game" Here's video of the keynote speaker's answer.

Maybe Housely also wants to spread the talent/speed around a bit by moving Bailey down to #3 line with Rhino? While I like Nolan's game so far, he is perfectly suited for the fourth line, not the 3rd line. Would rather see them bring Baptiste or CJ Smith (remember him?) from Rochester to play with Rhino and Bailey. Rhino centering Bailey and Baptiste could be a formidable 3rd line.

Regarding Scandella on the #2 PP, I assume he is there to help properly defend when Tennyson coughs up the puck or pinches at the wrong time. Not sure what Housely sees in Tennyson.

I think the Sabres have serious flaws, but the boogeyman Tim Murray is gone. There is room for optimism. I want to be entertained.

The Bills might not be that good. But the way the conference is shaking out, we might be playing important games in December.
