Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks show good structure but can't score vs. red-hot Devils The Vancouver Canucks dominated the shot clock but couldn't beat their old goaltender Cory Schneider as they fell 2-0 to the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday at Rogers Arena.

Thank you so much for not only putting up with the riffraff here, but also with your two challenged refs, but we all love you and your dedication..

Thanks Carol. If the Canucks were a contender they would have won the last two games. But they are what they are and that is okay. The results are expected and will continue. This isn't a slight to the team. In fact it should be a testament to the strides its making.

Imagine when the prospects who have shown better talent and speed get added. The groundwork is being laid for them and this development is what should be appreciated.

Also wonder what happened to the last thread

Thanks Carol.

Do you think we will ever see Subban get a call up, apparently his shots hit the net.

No. He's still being healthy scratched in the AHL for bad defense.

Does it matter that a defender can't play defense?
More goals against makes for great prospect development. As long as we have that elusive PP QB we should be fineπŸ˜†

Darn, can't find my sarcasm button

No.
Subban sucks.
Subban is on the Comets 3rd pairing when he is not a healthy scratch.
Good question.

Thanks for bringing the hate back. Apparently, "Subban" is my trigger word.

Whenever Vanek gets the puck his shot is on the net, whether from the goal line, half boards, blue line, red line D-zone...his shot always hits the net. I'm not talking about quality of shot, or whether he hits the goalie right in the chest. I'm just stating that the guy knows where the net from away where on the ice.

Now I think I heard at one point last night that The Canucks had something like 80-90 chances and 35 shots on net.

I would like to propose that Vanek teach these guys where the hell the net is...I have never seen sooo many shots go wide in a game, Hutton alone must have missed 20 times.

The misses where infuriating to watch

I didn't like the Vanek signing when t happened but I like his game. He fits in well. Gagner seemed like the good signing but has fans cringing a bit .

Overall they have been entertaining but there is work to be done

Canucks are generating shots at a insane rate. Scoring chances are waay up too. Shot suppression is also looking good. Goals are bound to happen if they continue these systems. Gudbranson is leaps and bounds are worst d man right now though. Biega and pouliout are running with this opportunity they have been given

You can see why Vanek has the career #'s he does, unlike the Sedins his hands are still there. He's pretty built too, looks like he's around 215-220 pounds. I can see why he scored 25+ goals in his sleep during his prime when he had some speed.
