I think Girard will prove to be a great player. His puck awareness and hockey sense is well above his age.

Off topic. But who pays for the traded player to get where he needs to be?

Does an organisation say, "we will trade you player X & have him on the ice for your training in x days, or does the acquiring team prepare all the travel arrangements?

I'd imagine these guys travel at least business class, so a ticket to Europe may be a 'little' kick in the nuts to someone?

No it’s not a big deal. The acquiring team takes care of it.

Did you not see the part where they thought the deal was going down Saturday night and they had a plane sitting there waiting? These at operating expenses that they do all the time.

is it too early to want Girard and EJ together? the need to find EJ a permanent fixture on that top D line. I still think Z is the man there. not sure why the switch hasnt flipped for him and he's been the terror he was last year cause I think ZJ is the top D pair that could really destroy other teams top players
