I think it will sort out itself,
If buffalo offers him a deal he doesn't like, hes gone. It should be entertaining |

Trade him. The rebuild needs to be started semi-over. Until we draft a franchise defenseman , we're going nowhere. Nylander, Middlestadt, 2018 pick (hopefully Dahlin) Aspund, Ghule, Eichel, and Risto will be the new core going forward. Everyone else can be dismissed. |

Re-upping Eichel and having Sabre Cancer paitents, R.O'R, Bogosian, Okoposo, Moulson, Georges and even Ristolainen, pretty much killed the options of keeping Kane. They can't afford to sign him...even so....There aint NO WAY he WILL re-sign here. He is currently maximizing his potential and he will F/A sign with a contender, A WINNER, because he knows he plays for a LOSER organization.
In turn....he may be traded at the deadline, but then again, the organization couldn't even TANK correctly, so they will more than likely screw that up too.......And the DUMPSTER FIRE that's been on fire for the better part of 47 years....keeps burning!
Losing culture, again....hope they do 24/7 with cameras following this oncology ward, so we can see it first hand on a daily basis what a $hit$show this organization really is!!!! They are already to a point of being unwatchable, less than 1/4 of the season in. |

This team is awful and needs to rebuild. The Kane will have to be moved to add young players. Keep going down the line at the deadline if we can. ROR, Okposo, anyone we can unload who is making too much not to produce.
Kane's success will be short term. He is still a liability defensively, a terrible passer, and maybe weeks or months away from his next episode. Deal him now while his value is high. Even if he maintains a good year and keeps his nose clean we will not be able to match what he gets offered elsewhere nor should we. Easy decision. |

...Hold on there slim. R.O'R, Eichel and Okoposo were SOLD as the players to turn this around, now they should be traded? Your like the SHEEPLE fans that say "In 2 more years, they will be good" SUCKERS......they will NOT be good, for a LONG LONG TIME. if they did not have Kane now, they would suck WORSE than they do now. you can get "add young player's names here" all you want, its a LOSING CULTURE.....they are at a point where they will ALWAYS lose. |

The biggest problem is NO ONE is going to give us a top 2 Dman for anything we have to offer unless it is accompanied with 1st rd draft picks. Let's take Skjei as an example;
Rangers were supposedly talking to us about Kane. We probably said we will give you Kane for Skeji. The Rangers laughed out loud then we said we will sweeten the deal, Kane and ROR for Skeji and a 3rd. The Rangers are crying they are laughing so hard right now and they counter: We will give you Holden and a 4th for Kane. Sabres end the convo |

Two more years fella, two more years and they will be good......lolololololol (and since YOU namecalled...I got one for you, its IDIOT) |

Lets face some TOUGH Facts -
Eichel is NOT as good as advertised -
Sam Reinhard is a bust like his other 2 brothers -
Risto is an offensive player that somehow was told to play D - he's not good
Okposo almost died this past summer, give the guy a break -
Scandella is a MISS -
Tennyson, and a few of these other no-names need to be back in Rochester - funny how like 3 of these guys NO ONE EVER HEARD of last year. Where did they come from and why? |

Probably not...
but NyR wouldn’t give up Skjei for Duchene,
So I can’t see them giving him up for Kane, or even Sam
Good young defensemen are hard to trade for
Best way to get them is through the draft...
but we don’t do that |

nor should they. Im guessing they didnt turn down ROR+Kane though.
**we used to not do that. Im confident they'll take a d-man this year unless they draft 2 or 3. |

They need to eradicate the culture of losing. IDK if that means firing the ENTIRE hockey department outside just below the owner? IDK...but what I DO see is that they are woefully behind in their rebuild. They need to, as an organization, STOP hiring re-treaded players who have NEVER won, to run their hockey operations. They need to hire people from the hockey world that have actually WON.
Blysma was a quick fix because they lost out on Babcock. Blysma should have never been hired, his Cup was a fluke. The only place that Bowman NEVER won was in Buffalo. If they keep hiring people who have NEVER won, they will NEVER win. Tocchet or Phil Housley with 29 other teams? Tocchet gets hired first 29 times....why? Because he has WON before....as a player, as an asst. coach. The organization keeps shoveling this mediocre culture then scratches its head when they $uck so bad, yet you suckers keep accepting it.

im not sure why zero is capitalized here i would have seen it either way
Mittelstadt was the guy they wanted. They even wanted to trade up to make sure they got him. This years draft has a couple d-men at the top who look like can't miss guys. |
