Montreals offers for Rads was lower than what Dallas offered. When Montreal agreed to match what Dallas was offering then it was too late. He would have stayed in Moantreal had the $$ been offered from the get go. |

Subban getting 37% D zone starts is why his corsi is Lower |

He still worked on signing him throughout the season. Radulov, who says how much he wanted to stay, waited until he got a deal from somewhere he wanted to play. IMO. |

I was just putting out the advanced stats for those who claimed those stats were the end all be all. Clearly, according to those stats, Weber is vastly outperforming Subban. If you judge players exclusively by those types of things... which some prominent media types do. |

Or Bergeron (frank)ed up by low balling him all season, and when he realised that the Dallas offer was legit, he started to back peddle , and by that time it was all over.
Too little, too late.. |

Very possible Pete! Unfortunately it also seems that radulov didn’t want to talk deal until the season was up. Usually also a sign the player is leaving, or at least wants to look elsewhere. |

Who would?
Of course you'd want to test the market, get as much as you can for your services.
I take Radulov as a man of his word, he accepted the Dallas deal, then Pisshead says, "I'll match that".
Ya, he wanted to stay in MTL, and I believe him, but he accepted the Dallas deal, because it was more than poophead was offering at the time.
And what credibility would he or his agent have if they'd reneged on the Dallas deal? |

Also, the Preds don't need to ride PK into the ground, like the Habs need to do with Weber, given they have other good D to share the load and minutes. |

Also the tax differential means he's making a lot more money. Plus he probably was promised he could play with Seguin-Benn.
He was also tired of bailing out Galchenyuk whenever his sister hit him up for cocaine. |

they only have to ride Weber into the ground because of the vast improvements Bergevin made to the defence in the offseason. |

Yep. At the end, he's just about the money. He can say all he wants about this city, this team, the fans...it's all bullpoop. He can go use his tooth gap to polish his own Richard for all I care. |

It's kinda like when you're shopping for a vehicle and you end up buying one from the second dealership you shopped at.
Then the salesman from the first dealership calls you and says he would have given you the same price.. |

Will Webs play tonight?
The Hab game is always a treat to watch for us newbies.
One must close your eyes and substitute pulled pork for poutine, however. |

i think if Montreal was a contender maybe he'd have been inclined to take a pay shave to stay but he likely saw the writing on the wall. |
