Its too bad Landy is serving 4 games at this critical point in the season. Hopefully this team can stay a float without him. Getting him back on the top line with Jost in the mix gives us a lot more depth at FWD. I’m pretty pumped to see what that all rookie line can do tonigt

I thought he was really good last year, but you're right, perhaps the D core sucked that badly that anything he did was great. I just fear Barbs is getting the Beachemin treatment where just cause he's a veteran he's staying in the line up. and thats not a good thing. everyone has to be accountable and right now Barberio is not being held accountable and thats unacceptable. he should have to accept the same discipline as the other D men have faced for inadequate play. besides, Barberio is a good 6th Dman anything beyond that and he's trouble. so sure, they've given him the usual low minutes but I think a scratch for a couple games is the way to go, send the message equally to everyone, dont favor a guy just cause he's veteran. but perhaps someone just hasnt outplayed his position on the team, which one could argue Mironov has done that

Avs are fun to watch again

It's good to see the Avs win in spite of Barrie's poor defensive play and in spite of his stupidity of playing up-ice and costing the Avs a regulation-winning goal.

Barrie is one of the leagues best offensive dmen, trust me you will hate to see this team without him around.

Avs finally have true talent in the Top 4 in EJ, Girard, Barrie, and Zads. Lets enjoy it

As long as Avs can pick up another asset (late pick, low level prospect in the deal too)

Girard does not make Barrie expendable, not yet. How hard was it for the Avs to get to this point to have 3/4 of a half decent D Core....Duchene, ROR, and Shattenkirk had to be traded in order to get there.

Lets just enjoy having good Dmen for a while first

True, they traded some great players to have this D corps. For the first time in a long time we don't have a dumpster fire back there and we can breathe a sigh of relief. If they go that route with Barrie, I have full confidence Joe will get us a solid return.

Barrie is good and has extreme value to this clubs success now and going fowards but I wont rule out him being moved down the line.

Its a super young roster, having some vet guys (Barrie at 26 years old) isnt a bad thing to help the stability of the kids developing

He's been arguably the best player on the Isles all year, is scoring a point a game, and lit your Avs up for 5 assists in one game.

Congrats, you liking Barzal has a lot to do with his success currently, has he told you how much you mean to him for believing in him

And no one was calling you an idiot about Barzal, if you were one of one saying that Hamonic was worth Duchene at the time, well then thats why you were called one

Its nice to watch this team come together under sakic and bednars vision. High hockey IQ guys, who can skate. Their zone exits are so much ebtter this year. Joy to watch.

Love the jets team how its built right now. Big, fiesty, that can skate. Team is built really well and with Helly playing up to his potential. All the pieces seem to be in place for your team
