Didn't hear of Borgen's possible distaste for the Sabres, that's disappointing. I hate that CBA rule and hope they dump it. If a college player wants to leave his drafting team he should have to sit out for a year.
I also think our D prospects are a touch overrated due to lace of competition. Hell, I look NHL caliber next to Martin.

It was during his interviews at dev camp this year. Hard to really tell. Maybe just me but thats the vibe I got. I think if anything, the team that loses a player via free agency should get a draft pick from whatever team signs him. The draft pick should be whatever round that player was originally drafted in.

Reinhart isn't gonna score on the third line. Plus, C'mon, give erod a chance. Put him with somebody who maybe could score. Give him reinhart or Okposo

Yeah, I think there has to be some type of compensation if a player decides to become a FA after college. A second or third round pick I could see. Another thought I had was making the player re-enter the draft or let the original team that drafted the player able to pay more than if he went to another team. |

Id have to go back and listen but he was asked about his future with the Sabres at Dev camp. He sounded very non-committal and didnt exactly make me feel good about our chances of him signing here. He said his degree is priority #1

Honest, serious question:
Is there really a need for Scott Wilson? I understand a 5th round pick is a pretty meager asset to give up, but is Scott Wilson really the answer to any of the Sabres issues? |

Exactly, I wonder if we could slide him on the right wing and Kane on the left of Eichel. Now there is a line worth trying. |

Just seems silly to see the Sabres trading away picks for garbage depth players, no matter how late the pick may be. You could sign any plug you want in free agency. Not a big deal, just seems odd to me. |
