While we are at it, lets get rid of the silly skills competition (the shootout) and go back to the old division names and conferences. Metropolitan division? Seriously!?

They're bigger, they're faster, they last longer, and they're coached better but the rink is still the same size. Get rid of the two line pass but keep offside calls for entering the offensive zone. That will really stretch out those x's and o's.

Talking about "skill and room" .....
Just a thought.......
I'd like to see ALL the outdoor games built and played on the European Size Rinks.

Since these rinks are built with plenty of room anyway.....why not kill 2 birds with one stone.....open up the game with more offense and give everbody an opportunity to see what effect the bigger rink would have on the NHL for the future. I'm thinking the game would increase skating, passing, and goal scoring for sure....and I for one wouldn't miss it.
