Considering the money and term/production ratio for Pouliot and Kane, I will be more sorry to see Benoit go. He was a breath of fresh air this year |

It will be interesting to see what the return Botterill can get for his players. I hope Reinhart stays as he seems to have found his game. What would Pouliot get us in a trade? A 4th round pick? |

I think optimistically maybe a conditional 3rd. Hopefully so, because it would offset the beaulieu acquisition |

two pieces for kane: 1st + mid-level prospect or 2nd + upper-level prospect
3rd or 4th for pouilot
6th or 7th for gorges
5th or 6th for Falk
botts should be able to pull a 2nd for lehner...the isles have two seconds this year

Definitely not worth it, but they wouldn't trade him for anything short of a slam dunk |

Mike Weber got a 3rd, I can see somebody moving a 4th for Gorges "veteran leadership" or some other garbage reason |

I read another blogger’s page that said the Sabres would get like 2 A Prospects and 2 1sts.
I’m thinking we should be able to squeeze McDavid and Draisaitl out of the Oil! |

I mean last week Darren Dreger said that he thought a team would meet the asking price of a 1st, a NHL player, a prospect, and a conditional pick. The consensus I've been seeing among insiders & bloggers is that the price for Kane has steadily gone up.
So as far as 2 A prospects and 1sts? Probably not that much, but we could see a very large return. |

Any truth that the Blues currently have an offer on the table and "it's the one to beat" for Kane? |

Hopefully he starts producing again to perhaps bump his value up a little more. Being on the 3rd line on a bad team is not doing him any favors.

I am hoping they can unload even more,
-Reinhart
-Girgensons
-Larsson
-Nolan
-ERod
-Bleau-boy
And some additional pieces that will be most likely offseason moves due to either a) the financial cost to the receiving team, b) difficulty of finding a partner; like Okposo.
Bogo latest injury deep-sixed any hope of dumping him

The bogo curse. We might have had a shot at moving him this year |

I’m in the camp that the return on Kane will be decent...but I would be surprised if it was 4 pieces. If so, I think Michael is right in that the NHL roster player is probably a contract coming back...and likely we won’t want him in another year.
I’m wondering if Pommer nets us anything, probably not until next trade deadline though. |

After seeing the All star game, it became evident to me that we need to surround Eichel with as much talent as possible on his wings. We need to go out and find him an all star winger by any means possible. |

Yes, yes, yes.
casey mittelstadt will be that someday but we need to fill the void now. |

This offseason, the Sabres will have 24 mil in cap space. The year after, they'll have 36 mil (assuming no new moves)
Between now and then, the only NHL playesr due for a raise are Reinhart, and Antipin if you want him, which should be modest.
Point is, my money is on the Sabres keeping him for the duration of the contract. He's not inhibiting them from making any moves, really. They could bring in a really good Dman and slide bogo down to the 3rd pair fairly easily |

We have already wasted 3 years of his career. Time to go out and get him help |
