Paul, you confirm more and more with each post what a complete moron you are. Forsberg targeted the head. Although he did not, he was on the way of leaving his feet of the ice. A second later and he would have been elevated possibly causing serious injury to the Ranger player. Without question, the head was the principal point of contact and the head of the opponent did not change to self impact the force of the hit. This is a textbook illegal hit in today's NHL. Note that I said "Today's NHL". He'll probably get 2 games which is probably about right. If the NHL ever wants to clean this up, slap these players with 10-15 game suspensions with no appeal. By your idiotic "Patented" comment, you must be inferring that Forsberg is a dirty player. He is not.

Let me ask you this, what if this was a Nashville player that was hit???? You would be wetting your pants crying it was a dirty hit and the player that levied the hit should be suspended. Get a grip....you clearly have no idea what you are writing about.

Perhaps you should focus on fantasy writing because you don't live in the world of reality.

Didn't get a chance to watch game but recorded and just watched both hits this morning. IMO, in both cases the Ranger in question tried to duck and avoid a perfectly legitimate play and made it worse on themselves. Just can't see how either hit rises to a lost game or even a fine.

cheap hit...puck had been played; he lifted into him and caught the head...a suspension is warranted despite the sleeping refs not making the call...

Paul, I rarely call out another blogger, but I feel compelled here to do so three times.
First, Subban's shot ticked off Jimmy Vesey, changing direction, which is why it beat Lundqvist. Second, no video or discussion of the Emelin hit? Third, on Forsberg's hit, puck was already gone and principal point of contact was to the head. Be a fan of your team but call it the right way, not impacted by the fandom.

Point of contact was to the head, in no way, shape or form is that considered legal.

Agreed on keeping your head up. Issue is puck was already gone. Regardless of where his head is the other player is responsible for not hitting them in the head. Vesey puts himself in vulnerable positions, but Forsberg cannot get his elbow up there

Says the Nashville fan who probably has no idea what an offsides is! Thankfully they eliminated the two line pass....that really would have thrown you! Foolish comment...watch with some common sense and impartiality....and you may have a different opinion!

Filip Forsberg laid one of his patented reverse butt check and crushed Rangers forward Jimmy Vesey, potentially concussing the young winger on the play. A legal hit that is being whined about in the New York media and an elbow to the head…

I'm an islander fan and even I can honestly say you come off as a clown. The hit is at the very least questionable his elbow flies up to Vesey's head how you can deny that is beyond me? It should be reviewed and he should be suspended for a few games IMO. Who knows if he will because the NHL usually gets things like this wrong but to call that a clean hit is amateurish and laughable.

Hey Paul, be very thankful that crap was pulled on a very soft Ranger team. Had it been done on, say, San Jose or Philadelphia, Forsberg would have had either a few teeth missing or perhaps a broken bone in his wrist. Then you would been the one crying. Hockey has a way of correcting itself. At some point one of the Prdators will be concussed by a cheap shot. Then we will be turning a deaf ear to you.

Whatever the blogger’s name is, great call on a clean hit. He was suspended 3 games, should have been more

Agree, Forsberg’s wasn’t clean, but 3 seems high for a first time offender. But perfect call on the other hit. Maybe you ranger fan so should focus more on your team winning instead of suspensions to other players.

Too bad we can’t play the Rangers for these 3 games, since they would have been all guaranteed wins.

It's funny seeing the Preds turning into a poop brand hockey team. Should say 'cheap shot' poop brand hockey team.

With the team you guys have do you have to play dirty (you'll say hard), a great team can be tough without dirty. If you guys concentrated on good hockey, who knows what can happen?

Forsberg = suspension. So 'something' wasn't right especially seeing Forsberg is a cleanskin isn't he? Might be a message???

I see where future hall of famer mike fisher thinks foresbergs penalty is a joke! the real joke is mike fisher coming out of retirement nothing but a useless player before he retired and now is taking and wasting a roster spot that Any prospect or even the Zamboni driver could make better use of. Nothing but a useless pos.

nhl referring continues to be the biggest joke...when the best you got are mcaulley ohalorhan you got problems...they are bad...

I laughed so hard at this. Fisher would be a massive improvement to your Top 6.
