Michael Pachla: Sabres find a formula (and powerplay) in win against the NHL's best team.

I though Sam looked fantastic last night, It reiterated my points I made about him yesterday. Great vision and hockey sense and really the only weapon we have on the PP. I believe someone added it helps when someone can score on his tape to tape tap in goal passes. This pretty much happened last night. He cleaned up the slop on one but good PP overall

It also shows the importance of team speed. We had all (if not most) if the fastest skaters in our lineup last night, they played very well, and the speed paid off

There were small glimpses of the 06 Sabres last night. It was very enjoyable. One of very few shining moments as a team effort last night.

I was pretty stunned that they got a goal from the fourth line and one from the third line as well

This team is so inconsistent. Is it because of youth, coaching or just sh!tty players?

did anyone notice gus last night after he got out of the penalty box for the second time?...he went behind the tampa net in pursuit full speed, picked up the puck behind his own net and headed up ice full speed...somethin bit him in the ass...I didn't know he was that fast, or determined on the rush

he's done that before, but after a game or two tailed off and either found himself on the bench, in the press box or in Rochester

Is there a deal to be made between The flyers and sabres?

Baptiste and ERod are ready. Gus has been good lately, but I'm still ready for him to go. He shows he can be good, then he disappears. The Sabres need to move on imo, especially if someone values him. And let's be honest, Baptiste deserves an assist on his own goal
