Yep, looking forward to it. |

This team could use a RW for like the last three+ years... but i like the lineup with Grabner. Hope we get healthy soon. Not blaming Lack for the Minnesota game but it’s had to have confidence in him or KK. Of course Cory was kind of fighting it before the injury too....
Sad about Elias. Seems like just yesterday he was a rookie and then killing it on the A Line. I think Lou Lams really screwed up when he broke them up. |

I think you mean Langenbrunner. Friesen wasn’t that good. |

We need an Elias 4 goal vs the Islanders performance tonight from someone. Probably going to be a high scoring game. |

Yes he had a good run. Langenbrunner put up 11 goals in ‘03 with more assists. Sykora put up more points then either of these guys in the playoffs...
Anyway, Arnott was traded first to break up the A Line was really my point. Sykora was traded months later for Friesen.

Friesen had a huge series vs. Ottawa, and was a pretty damn good hockey player before injuries ruined him. |

Anyone watching the classic Elias games on MSG? Here’s a gem for 2015, the Ruutu-Josefson-Tootoo line. |

I like this lineup a lot better with Grabner over Hayes or Pietila. Need Schneider and Mojo to make it really good though |

He was fine but he sure as poop wasn’t Sykora, Arnott or Langenbrunner. |

Friesen was the type of guy who played the same game whether it was important or not, and scored some really important goals for the Devils because the pressure or momentum/tide of the game didn't seem to affect him. You always want one of these guys on your team for the playoffs.
The go-ahead on Ottawa in game 7, the "seal-the-deal" vs. Anaheim in game 7... both big goals. |

Grant Marshall had some big goals and Mike Rupp had a bigger series against the ducks but if we all want to love on Jeff Freisen I’m fine with that. I’ve got nothing against the guy.

Dude, I get what you’re saying, but Friesen was 10x the player Mike Rupp was. |

A lot of talk about the sykora trade but don’t forget the Langenbrunner trade also included star Joe Nieuwendyk for Arnott mackay and a late first rounder who made no impact in nhl. A good trade for devils which broke up a line but was an overall win with joe and Jamie |

I don't think any of you are arguing but are perpetuating a discussion. Relax, the Devs won back then, as a team, all the players played their part. Let's hope that type of teamwork happens again with the Devs, because I so want another cup before the Rags...... |
