Amazing stuff, Jan - 21peter
What happens when you are at the Apple Store waiting on line to get a battery replacement for your younger daughter’s phone. Mea culpa. My mistake. Fixed. Thanks. |

Hey boys, good to see the team promote the 2 kids. With nothing but pride to play for now lets continue to see how these guys progress. Georgiev getting playing time & looking good to boot is a bonus here in this lost season.
I still don't consider Zibby a true #1 center but sounds good that he's at least game for the opportunity & taking on that responsibility. While it was nice seeing them win a laugher for once it kind of also would be nice for the kids to look good but we lose 6 of our last 7, know what I mean? |

Good stuff.
This hiw it started 12 years ago. Would be nice to gon12 years of "success" followed by one missed playoffs followed by another 22 years of playoffs. This time with a cup or two would be nice |

Kreider Zib Kovy could be a big/tough line to play against next year. Not sure Zib is a true 1st line center but I think he's a very good 2C |

Just asking so don't jump down my throat , why do you want the rangers to sign Kovy ? I personally don't want the rangers to go out and sign free agents like before , very few have worked out for them . A couple more years of struggling and things should be fine . Its hard to speed up a rebuild .

Its heavily rumored the Rangers will be very interested/attempt to sign him. Could add some scoring up front and the whole Russian thing/incentive for guys like Rykov/Shestyorkin to come over. |

He's still a 35 goal scorer IMO, pure sniper. Not what he was, but if he can be had for 3-4 mill for a season or two, he could help this team..big time..
Like Gorton said, NYR can't be a bunch of 18 year olds and twenty somethings... A veteren presence is needed, and since Kovi has said many times he want to play for NYR...why not? |

Has he? Wasn't aware of that. He's going to want a ton of dough, is that worth him bringing the kids? |

I don't know he walked away from the devils (sort of funny ) is that who is going to lead the next wave of rangers . Acted like a 16 yr old for the thrashers in the playoffs , is that the new leader of the rangers ? Not one I'd want . |

So the only way the young Russians come over if Kovy is on the rangers ? Has one of them said that ? Buch came over without him here and lots of other Russians have came to the NHL without Kovy on their team ... seems like a stretch too me |

It’s not the only reason they’d come, but it wouldn’t hurt. On a 2 or 3 year deal I say why not. Even at 35 I think he can score 30 in the NHL still. |

Im assuming the Rangers have too many young defensemen trying to make this team for Brickley to want to sign |
|
|
|
He is not going to be scorer, the dude is dead, he does do it in KHL because of the way slower pace, in NHL no chance |

Good blog, Jan. Thanks.
Sure seems like some people around here have called it a season. Pretty quiet around these parts. |
