With the playoff spot, I would say Hall probably clinched the Hart trophy too. I was on the Anti-Devils train for a while so Kopitar would have a better chance, but so much for that.

I think we can all get on the Anti-Avs train now so MacKinnon doesn't get a nod.

Congrats to the Devils. Shero did a really good job of assembling this team, and Hynes did a wonderful coaching job. I hope this playoff berth is good enough for the people who always ask for Lou to be GM again, and Lemaire or Stevens to coach this team. I always laugh at fire Hynes and get Stevens or Lemaire to coach this team.

I was just hoping this team would score over 200 goals this season and possibly average 3 goals per game. Check, they've done that.This team exceeded my expectations.

The terrible defense (on paper), held up and did better than expected. Schneider was great the 1st half and Kinkaid saved this team the 2nd half. And of course, Hall will be MVP.

I question Hynes personnel decisions at times. Primarily on D (Severson needs to play). But really respect how he has gotten this team to come together and buy into the "us vs everyone else" mantra. Huge Lou fan. Always was & always will. Can't help but not to route for Toronto when they are not playing the devils. But Shero has exceeded expectations so far.

Does anyone have an opinion on keeping Maroon? I'd love to keep this guy for another 2 or 3 seasons. We haven't had a net front presence like this in a while and he is great in tight spaces with the puck. I love what he has brought to this team and you can basically put him anywhere in the lineup. He isnt a player that can carry a line, but his game compliments talented players.

Grabner on the other hand. I think he will only get better as time goes on with a devils uniform. But we have too many young players on our current roster and in the farm that brings what he does, and probably have a higher ceiling. I don't want to shell out the 3-4m maybe even 5m that he will want to resign.

Great read Todd! I couldn't agree more about Wood. The guy was an absolute beast! Thats the kind of bottom 6 players you need come the playoffs. I am still not sure about Maroon. I am really hoping Schneids can close out the season on a high note. I do not care how well KK has played, his positioning looks terrible and I do not see us doing much in the playoffs without the technically sound Schneids between the pipes.

The problem with Maroon isn’t that he can’t be useful and complement other good players. It was his contract ask that wasn’t reasonable for what he is/does.

With all the talent we have in juniors and ahl, let Grabs walk, he showed nothing since he got here. Maroon showed he can def. play a compliments our players really well.

Agreed on all except for trading Cory.. unless it really is for a ton. I think he'll come back from this next year and regain the starting job. Cory at his best exceeds Kinkaid at his best.

Please no....... Sign John Carlson 5 yr at 8M AAV, and Enstrom as a bottom pairing D with Moore. That is what we need and can afford. Maroon truly is meant to be a bottom 6 forward, so unless he is willing to sign for under 2M, let him walk.

I still can't believe they made it in. So very happy for this group. They really worked hard for this, and sure have been a lot of fun to watch and follow enroute to this playoff berth.

Hall, Nico, Boyle, Butcher, Coleman, Wood, Gibbons, KK, etc. So many great individual stories, that all make up one main team narrative. A bunch of guys that did it despite. Despite the odds, despite the persistent injuries, despite constant bad calls, despite the mistakes, they made it happen. Despite it all.

What an awesome group, and what a great time to be a Devils fan.
