Yeah let's not resign a cheap known defenceman who can skate very well. Let's let him walk then overpay in free agency. Ugh.
Not saying he's amazing or anything but if we can sign him to a 2.5 to 3m 4 year deal what's the harm? Also if it would mean Mueller is in the lineup...... |

It’s not about the money. He is useless in almost every category.
Not to mention that team plays better with him on the bench. Yes he scores here and there but it’s not enough to cover his constant mistakes. Him and Lovejoy should both go. |

I understand where you're coming from, but if there isn't a player ready to move up and take a spot on the team, or if there isn't a player acquired by trade or signing, then he should be resigned. If there is a player brought in who can fill a spot competently then sure let him walk. If he walks and a lesser player fills a spot the team would be worse off. |

Problem is Moore just isn’t very good, especially in his own zone, he’s a turn over machine. He probably wants a raise and a multi-year contract. If NJ is going to compete they have to get better on D. During the playoffs they had three guys who are probably 7th defenseman on any other playoff team starting with Moore, Lovejoy and Mueller. Let Moore walk this year and Lovejoy next year. |

Let him walk.
Mueller will be good.
sign a free agent D Man .
Carlson, De Haan, Emelin , reen Hickey
Unless you go after Karsson , OEL ,
We have puck movers. We need to upgrade the D . so let Moore go. -Mueleer takes his spot.
Buy out Lovejoy and sign a better Defensive D man to take his spot. Say DE HAAN for example.
Vatanen -Greene
Butcher - DE Haan
Severson - Mueller
---
Santini .

Exactly. I would be happier with Mueller and let him develop. We need to find out if he is any good or cut bait. Moore is just a waste of money because he adds no value. Spend the money elsewhere, anywhere, but don't waste it on him. |

Has there ever been example of anyone being more wrong in the history of the internet than Todd Cordell has been about Dan Girardi? These fancy Corsi charts prove nothing. Tampa felt comfortable enough with Girardi to have him out there at the end of the game protecting a one goal lead and he comes up with a monster blocked shot.
He was great all series. Yet another playoff round win in his career that he played major minutes in. |

The only one more wrong in the history of the internet would be you thinking anyone here gives a flying (frank) about Dan Girardi.
Maybe you should focus on how wrong the Rangers ir their fans about him them. Or perhaps just get yourself some lube and some private time to ‘reminisce’ of the good old days.
Or maybe have a second cup of coffee today and try to come to the realization you can hide some pretty mediocre players when you’ve got one of the best teams in hockey. Imagine that. |

Girardi has alot of support on Tampa, he certainly is no all star. And neither is Moore. That being said, I honestly like what more brings to the table solely as a bottom pairing D, under 2.5M. Anything beyond that is too much. His skating and all around athleticism is only outdone by Vats on this teams back-end. Green is fading, Lovejoy should be our stick boy next season, and Santini needs to develope in a larger role in the AHL. Todd, I feel spoiled to have you write for us, and will back you against these trolls, but if we can keep Moore on the cheap, do it. |

It would have been helpful to get a look at Santini later in the season. I know his underlying stats were bad but he looked like a decent prospect.... at least comparable to Moore or Lovejoy. |
