Even though none of the forwards except Panarin cracked 55 points (iirc) I think the Jackets have enough scoring through out the line up - spread nicely. Could see an addition like a Nyqguist improving the top 9 but not much else needed right?

You would think not much is needed, but then the CBJ has never won a playoff series in their existence either. There's something missing, and IMO it's one or more of five things:
1. Not enough offense in the playoffs.
2. No superstar that can carry the team against top-flight competition
3. The Goaltender is great in the regular season but cannot do what Holtby did in the Cup run and Floury did in the every series but the Cup final.
4. There is not enough talent to beat playoff teams no matter how good they are in the regular season.
5. The players are not mentally tough enough to win tough series.
Any other guesses appreciated.
