I (frank)ing HATE the city of Albany.
Those (frank)ing pieces of poop have the gaul to threaten to come onto private property and tow my car away because its "parked on the grass." But when I say..."oh no its not...its on a stone driveway that has been there for my entire lease, you just happen to see some weeds growing up through the stone"....they refuse to come look with me.
(frank) THIS STUPID (frank)ING CITY. |

If drouin/3rd overall pick are off the table and ROR is moved to the Habs I’d like to see a return of
Habs: Danult, Mete, Juulsen, 2 2nd rounders
Mete and Juulsen will be your 2nd pairing within 2 years and Danault is your 3rd line Centre as soon as this season. 2 2nd rounders because frank the Habs and they have 5 of them in this years draft.

If they aren’t giving up the 3rd or
drouin you can almost guarantee that Poehling will be in the package |

We have a player who we don't have to trade and they desperately want, yet, they're going to take off the table any comparable pieces of value? (frank) that! 3 OA or Montreal can try their luck at landing Tavares. Lets see how well they do next season with Domi as their 1C. |

Has Botts made the blockbuster trade centering around Kyle Criscuolo yet? |

Danault, Poehling, Mete, Juulsen for ROR. Would be able to say goodbye to both Scandella and McCabe for wingers. |

I don't think Botterill should settle for second-tier assets, especially from a team starved for center play. Centers are the most valuable commodity in this league, and Botterill needs to nail this trade. We need top wingers now, not 2nd pair defensemen in 2 years |

just curious:
a) why are we "saying goodbye" to scandella and McCabe and having it sound like, "hit the road"?
b) who's your top-4/top-7 on defense?

Fair enough. But they are very strong defensive prospects. Mete and Poheling could even make Guhle expendable for trade to get the top winger. Also the 6M in cap savings helps us long term. |

McCabe would be able to be moved with Guhle/Pilut/Mete able to play third pairing minutes. Scandella is a UFA within the next year or two and would either be an own rental for us and walk as a UFA or be traded as we would have 4 guys ready to play that role by 2020-2021.
LHD: Dahlin, Scandella, McCabe, Guhle/Mete/Poheling/Hickey(if signed), Pilut, Beaulieu
RHD: Risto, Nelson, Bogo, Juulsen, Borgen
Our defence would be full of young puck movers all making ELC money apart from Risto and Bogosian by 2020-2021. Could spend 50M+ on whatever we wanted upfront. |

We're no longer in the business of acquiring futures. If a core piece like RoR goes, it's for what this team really needs, a top 6 LW, no package of lesser pieces.
Ror and #32 for #3 OA, and #38.
Montreal will have RoR and Domi as a 1C-2C. They can then flip pick #32 and pick #35 and get back in the 1st round. Even after that, they'll still have two more picks in the second round to make.
Sabres will get their LW in Zadina.
If montreal can't handle that deal, one can't be made that's worth it on our part.

If the Flyers get lucky to draft Farabee then select a super project with the players still on the board...as much as Hextall has done great, I would have to ask for his resignation.

I think the constant ROR bashing in this thread for the past 6 months has lowered our expectations of what he could - and should - be worth in a trade. If JT signs, he's the best center available in the NHL.
That should be worth a very good LW, plus an excellent prospect, and probably a good 3rd piece (draft pick?) |

ROR as in Ryan O'Reily? 7.5M ROR?
I am sure it was mentioned already and probably doesn't need to be said but that's 50% retained salary?
Otherwise Montreal would be better off signing current day Scott Gomez and ask fans to try out. |

#Habs GM Marc Bergevin still has policy of not talking about contract negotiations but says at this point he expects captain Max Pacioretty to be back with the team next season. #HabsIO
