That idea is all well and good, But don't you think dumping Bobby Ryan is high on Ottawa's list in addition to trading Karlsson? I would like GMJB to dump a bad contract in the deal also, I might be tempted to throw in an additional 2nd if Ottawa would take Okposo. So then, Buffalo would be giving up A 1st, 2nd, Nylander and Okposo and maybe try to throw in Scandella and see if we could walk away with J.T. Miller and Cody Ceci?

Gourde is successful because of where he plays

I don't think Gourde is successful just because he is in Tampa. He is a smart and very tenacious player. Never backs down and perfect for a 2nd or 3Rd line role. Buffalo doesn't have a player on their roster that can match Gourde's motor. I would be all for taking Gourde but I doubt Tampa let's him go.
