At one point the Sabres defense consisted of Marco Scandella/Justin Falk, Jake McCabe/Nathan Beaulieu, Josh Gorges/Victor Antipin, not exactly the defense Housley worked with in Nashville.

I don't feel strongly about him one way or the other. He got a new assistant, so maybe that helps him. I just find it hard to criticize him because he is supposed to be a D guru, and he had some really bad pieces. No more mulligans for him though
