At the end of the day we just beat 2 of the better teams in the NHL with another coming up tomorrow.

If we can get through this first month with a record over .500 i will call that a success.

No time to read the blog so I will just assume it is the usual diatribe of complaining about something just for the sake of complaining. The Hall trade happened, so did the Eberle trade, and PC and T-Mac still have their jobs and that won't be changing anytime soon and there is nothing you can do about it.

True story. Not a guaranteed win or a distinct advantage for a team to get an opponent on their second game. More of an excuse for people than anything.

Actually gave props to some guys. Claimed Russell had of his 1 in 20 good games, I didnt see it. Felt he was invisible. He felt a little like complaining about the doc thinking he only shows up on Cmds side. Gave props to Strom and Lucic apparently appearing well. Not much else. A fair contribution and not just praising like the colonel always did, not just the negative about the same couple guys like the trampoline man did. A fair blog.

Huh, hating on Leon now? You’ve mentioned it many times how his line mates are keeping him down. The problem with the second line was the breakout along the boards. If done properly it can work and be effective, but having it start with Lucic isn’t ideal. That has lots to do with why he looks slow. If the initial breakout doesn’t work, it forces a regroup/dump out or worse a turn over, which has happened lots.

Leon is winning draws, producing on the power play and he can think/play with McDavid... there is nothing to worry about 5 on 5 play will get better as the year goes on.

Here’s an odd thought. If McDavid is solely responsible for aiding in Leon’s production, how come Eberle and Hall couldn’t duplicate his success? Albeit Hall only had one season . It’s not that both of them aren’t great players, it takes a certain type of player to be able to process the game at the same speed as McDavid.

I see Similarities between Blake Wheeler and Leon, although leon will likely reach his peak sooner. The size, skill, strength and speed are all there, it is just a matter of putting it together on a consistent basis.
