Carol Schram: Elias Pettersson sets team record as Canucks' win streak reaches 3 vs. Avs In a wildly entertaining night at Rogers Arena, Elias Pettersson recorded two goals and three assists and his linemate Brock Boeser tallied four points in a back-and-forth battle that saw the Vancouver Canucks emerge with the 7-6 overtime win over the Colorado Avalanche.

Well done Carol.

Where was Guddy when Boeser got cheap-shotted?

Gaudette looks really tentative with the puck, needs a bounce here and there to get his confidence up.

His skating needs a lot of work at this level. At least another year before we see any impact.

But it's great to see the kids really playing well without Edler-Tanev-Sutter...let's us know they are really trying.

When are we going to get a call for cheap shots by these franking refs, and then they call bo for that did anyone see bo give it to the refs after regulation he was pissed.

Yeah he's got a short choppy stride but I think he can eventually be a good third line center behind Pettersson and Horvat. They could really use a big, fast, scoring LW'er.

Ehlers, Nylander, Tkachuk, Keller or DeBrincat would be good right now

ya that to, but these refs suck goat balls, cant get one franking call, stech last game, motte game before, sven twice concussed nothing, petey getting slammed, boeser and petey cross checked by what his name again calvort or something like that , sedins career I could go on and on.

Glad he decided to go back to college, smart decision, hopefully next year with an extra year of development he can step in and have an impact offensively.

Could you imagine what this team would be like if we got his brother?

Pretty exciting proposition. Everything is up in the air right now though, team isn't great defensively and the goaltending is poor but it's early, we've seen this movie before.

Bottom line is, with Pettersson, they're much more exciting to watch. I'm not sure they can sustain this but if they do, great, finish 12-14 and win the lottery or second pick in the lottery.

Juolevi will turn out, his game just needed some development time. When we look back he probably wasn't worthy of a 5th overall pick, but close enough

I know its early but the pacific is wide open with 3 ageing cali teams, the players see a lot of hope with EP and they could ride the EP train much like the oilers did with mcdavid because they weren't that good before he arrived, if marky and nillson can give us the goaltending look out.

Certainly fun to watch. W's to me aren't as important as entertaining hockey this season. If things go sideways, that's how it goes.

Wins are just a bonus, entertaining hockey from the kids is all I wanted and Pettersson is delivering that in spades.

Funny, without him, Pettersson, they're nowhere near as entertaining. One guy makes a huge difference.

Ehlers as many points as JV has goals this year.
Which Nylander?
Tkachuk fast?
Keller big?
Debrincat is the smallest player in the league?

Green needs to let Guddy, Schaller, and Roussel crack a few jaws, when other teams take liberties with the young stars. Enough is enough!
