That was a gritty comeback.

Kings and Lightning have been scouting eachother for the last couple weeks, including the Assistant GM from TB at one of the kings games.

I’m thinking LA try’s to get younger and a pick or 2 while taking back a bad contract (my guess girardi or coburn) while a player like muzzin/Martinez/Toffoli could go back in return.

Callahan, Volkov, Koekoek and a 2nd

Martinez, an expiring contract (?) and a 6th?

I dunno. No idea- just a jump off point.

I doubt Callahan due to 1 year left at 5.8 on contract. But I’d say that’s in the ball park

Girardi and Coburn comes of the books after this season. We need cap relief for the coming years.

Muzzin would be great at $4m and 1 year after this year. We have to rid ourselfs of Callahans contract, but Kings probably want to contend next year and he doesnt exactly help with that.

Johnson is playing really well but i guess he or Killorn is the odd man out. Johnson is small and fast, something Kings probably wants. Killorn is more of the same for Kings.

But i dont know why Tampa would do this trade now, it should probably happen at the draft. I believe that Tampa is in a standstill, we have great defense, great offense and are set in goal. We dont need cap right now, just in the future. So if Callahan is not part of any trade, I dont know what they are looking to do.

Muzzin for Johnson and Koekkoek could make sense. We save $1,5 in cap and get Stralmans replacement.

We have zero need to make a move this season, to be honest.

The D is good, the forwards are outstanding, Vasy is Vasy and...well... Domingue played okay last night, so I'll hide the knives... for now.

You're 100% right. If anything, it goes down at the draft. I like Johnny, but you're probably correct - he gets lost in the center shuffle. His value is sky-high (if he keeps up the season he's been having) and should be a fine trading chip.

Otherwise, I'm curious to see how many years Miller sticks around before getting traded. That lack of NTC really stands out to me.

Yeah, to make a trade right now would be to change the seats on a ferrari. I would be fun to do but not really make any difference.

Miller as a limited 8-team trade list starting july 1st.
