Nothing like a beat down of the Leafs.
Good win and good job of responding by the boys. |

Good response after the Dirty Hymen Hit.
Hmmmmmm. That's a good name for a band.
Hope Charlie's ok.

according to most leaf fans, physicality was not a factor... |

Chara will toss the Leafs top 2 lines into the upper deck next meeting. Then chokeslam Hyman on to Mike Babcock. |

Part of the dangers of playing the borderline style of hockey the Bruins play. They do it well but McAvoy should know teams are going to be mad and finishing checks, the hit could be considered slightly late but nothing the Bruins themselves dont’t do on a regular basis. McAvoy can’t get caught admiring passes like that or he’s going to end up with another concussion.
Bruins schooled the Leafs again at TD garden, Leafs just have no answer in that building. |

Slightly late!? SLIGHTLY??? It was pretty much a full 2 seconds after the puck had left his stick. He had more than enough time to just skate himself right by him or just throw a normal little how you doin' hit like most people would do in that situation. But no, at that point you're down 6-2 so you have to be stupid about it. The league won't look at it is my guess but i'm guessing Hyman has a massive target on his back next time these two teams meet.

The refs let this game get out of hand quickly..especially in the second period when it was a parade of leafs going to the box. The maple leafs are the least penalized team in the league yet everytime they got within arms reach of Boston they seemed to take a minor penalty.
Yes, the hyman hit was 2 seconds late on a guy that was admiring his pass in a physical game - McAvoy who just came back from a head injury should be paying more attention out there - but the run on rielly was dangerous as the player was clearly head hunting out there.
Neither team are known for this type of hockey- but clearly both teams are setting up for another possible playoff meeting.. and I for one cannot wait to watch it! |

According to the panel last night, it was .9 seconds, and they added .6 seconds is the acceptable upper limit. |

Lol I love how the use of “admiring a pass” makes it acceptable for a late and unnecessary hit. Seems like you’re trying to justify something that really can’t be. |

Hyman's hit was late. Period.
Wagner's hit was cheap. Period.
Understand that Bruins had to retaliate, and have no problem
With a response, but the frankingScott Stevens type high elbow
( trying to concuss a player) are complete bulpoop... Always have
Been & always will be. Period!!
Hate the Bruins - Love the Leafs
Play hard with skill & passion & let the best team win boys

It kills me that the Bruins announcers can actually complain and use predatory in their language. They have Marchant who throws his elbow out numerous times a games and luckily does not connect with his T REX short arms. I counted 22 cross checks to the Leafs backs in the front of the net in the first 5 minutes without one penalty. Change it to Boston Stupid with those announcers. |

Even in slow motion I count 1 misssissppi on the hyman hit. Claiming it happens several seconds later is amusing. |

Love that Jack Edwards referred to the game as the "Newly sterilized NHL".
Finally a game that wasn't like watching paint dry. The "New NHL" is one step away from becoming women's hockey |

No doubt Hyman's hit was late and should probably get a 1 game suspension.
Wagner was obviously trying to retaliate on our top d-man and it looked like borderline, but not worthy of a suspension.
Looking forward to playing the Bruins in Toronto, should be fun.
Anderson can't stop a beach ball in Boston for some reason.

Why are all of the Leaf fans on here today?
Hymen's hit was late and dirty, as Charlie had passed the puck a full second earlier.
Wagner's hit on Morgan was unnecessary, but not dirty as he was carrying the puck into the neutral zone.
Go back to your own kind ya filthy ignorant Leaf fans.
You're all wrong again.

Watched the replay. Hyman’s hit was clean. Buried Macavoy with a gorgeous shoulder to chest hit, while Macavoy was admiring his pass. Then proceeded to speed bag some no-named guy
From what I’ve gathered here, Hyman was supposed to let up because Macavoy is prone to concussions |

Without the Leafs fans here today this blog would have its usual three or four comments. I’m sure your blogger isn’t complaining. Boston fans are almost nonexistent these days. |

Love that ‘he was admiring his pass’ argument,.. late hit, but he didn’t drive the elbow to the head. Fine no suspension imo.
And Jack Edwards is a dou he, but he’s OUR dou Che.

Sorry we have 3 other teams to watch,
And there’d be at least 5 comments, if not more. |
